The University of the Philippines Pre-Medical Society Cebu (UPPMSC) is launching a donation drive to support families in Northern Cebu gravely affected by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake last September 30, 2025.

Funds will be used to directly purchase goods, which will be relayed to official drop-off points for packing and distribution.

🩸DiagKNOWS 2.0: Blood Cancer Awareness Month🩸

Did you know? Blood cancers (tulad ng leukemia, lymphoma, at myeloma) affect the production and function of blood cells. These diseases begin in the bone marrow or lymphatic system, at madalas ay nagreresulta sa abnormal growth ng white blood cells, na siyang humahadlang sa katawan na lumaban sa infection.

Ayon sa World Health Organization (WHO), millions of people worldwide are diagnosed with blood cancers every year, at isa ito sa mga leading causes of cancer-related deaths. Pero the good news is: early detection and treatment can significantly improve survival and quality of life.

⚠️ Common symptoms to watch out for:
- Madalas na lagnat o panginginig
- Labis na pagkapagod o panghihina
- Pamamaga ng lymph nodes, atay, o pali
- Madaling pagdudugo o pagkakaroon ng pasa

Prevention may not always be possible, pero awareness, regular check-ups, and early consultation with healthcare professionals can save lives.

Let’s work together to spread awareness and support those affected by blood cancers. 💛 Because knowledge is not just power!

Limampu’t tatlong taon na ang nakalipas nang ideklara ni Ferdinand Marcos Sr. ang Martial Law sa Pilipinas. Nagmitsa ito ng matinding pang-aabuso sa karapatang pantao, paggamit ng kapangyarihan ng gobyerno, pagsensura ng midya, pagyurak sa demokrasya, at pagpapatahimik sa tinig ng mamamayan. Isa ito sa pinakamadilim na kabanata sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas.

Sa pagdaan ng mahigit limampung taon, nakaupo ngayon bilang presidente si Ferdinand Marcos Jr., at kasalukuyan pa rin nating hinaharap ang mga suliraning ito. Mula sa korapsyon at ghost projects habang lumulubog sa baha ang mamamayan; sa kalusugan at edukasyon na ginagawang negosyo imbes na serbisyo; at sa disimpormasyon at kasinungalingan na patuloy na bumabaluktot sa ating kasaysayan.

Taglay ang utak at puso, nakikiisa ang UP Pre-Medical Society – Baguio sa panawagan para sa katotohanan, hustisya, at tunay na paglilingkod sa bayan.

Sa araw na ito, inaalala natin ang mga biktima ng Martial Law at ipinagpapatuloy ang laban para sa katotohanan at hustisya. Sa kabila ng pagbaluktot ng kasaysayan, ang masa ang nagsisilbing paalala kung ano nga ba ang tunay na nangyari noong panahon ng diktadura.
