Today, the Batuan Primary Care Facility has been recognized by the Department of Health as one of the municipalities with Good Practices in Health in the entire Central Visayas. This honor is rooted in our implementation of the Adunay Kwarta sa Konsulta Projectโ€”a multisectoral, systems-driven initiative that strengthens local health financing by elevating the quality and reach of primary care services.

It is with deep humility that Dr. Mark Johnuel Duavis, DTTB Physician and lead implementer of the project, together with Miss Myra Leonora Salvaleon, DOH Representative to Batuan, received this award on behalf of Hon. Mayor Emmanuel Aladin Tumanda and the entire Municipality of Batuan.

But this recognition is far bigger than any single project or any single person.

This award belongs to the tireless team of the Batuan Primary Care Facility, who show up every day with dedication, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to serve. Join us tomorrow, November 19, 2025 (starts at 8AM) as we strengthen womenโ€™s health through our Cervical Cancer Awareness Program with HPV Vaccination for eligible beneficiaries at Batuan Gymnasium.

This initiative aims to protect young girls from HPV-related diseases and raise awareness on the importance of early prevention. Letโ€™s take proactive steps in safeguarding the health of our daughters and future generations.

We will also be conducting Papsmear, Visual inspection of cervix (by licensed obstetrician & gynecologists from GCGMMC) and Family Planning Day, offering counseling and services for individuals and couples who wish to make informed choices about their reproductive health.

Together, letโ€™s empower families with access to safe, responsible, and guided options toward a healthier community. ๐Ÿ’™โœจ
