𝗢𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

𝙄𝙉 𝙋𝙃𝙊𝙏𝙊𝙎 | The DOH Bicol CHD Media Health Summit held at the La Edley Resort, Legazpi with the theme “Beyond Headlines: Advancing Health Challenges through Media Collaboration”, the summit aims to strengthen the collaboration of the health sector and media practitioners to improve the quality, accuracy, and reach of health information in the region, and to combat misinformation.

Specifically, the summit seeks to capacitate media practitioners on the responsible and ethical reporting of health topics including HIV/AIDS and mental health issues.

During the above-mentioned event, The Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines Legazpi Site put up a FREE, CONFIDENTIAL and VOLUNTARY HIV Screening booth which also distributed FREE condoms.

In celebration of the Kasanggayahan Festival, the Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines, the City Health Office – Social Hygiene Clinic, and St. Expeditus Medical Emergency Response Services will be setting up an HIV booth at the Capitol Grounds, Sorsogon City, during the Ginuman Fest and Rave Party activities.

We invite all Sorsoganons to visit our booth, get tested for free, and receive complimentary condoms and lubricants.

ALAMIN SYMPOSIUM: Empowering Gen Z on HIV Prevention and Reproductive Health Held at Estenias Science Foundation School Hall

The event successfully conducted Free HIV Screening and Condom Distribution among the participants, promoting awareness and preventive measures for sexual health.

The Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines (SHIP) extends its heartfelt appreciation to the 3rd-year Midwifery students for inviting us to be part of this meaningful program. We also acknowledge the valuable support and partnership of St. Expeditus Medical Emergency Response Services (SEMERS), the City Health Office – Social Hygiene Clinic, the Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Casiguran for their united efforts in advancing community health and well-being.

This symposium aimed to empower Generation Z with accurate information about HIV prevention, reproductive health, and responsible decision-making. Through collaborative initiatives like this, SHIP continues to strengthen health education, reduce stigma, and promote a healthier and more informed society.

𝙄𝙉 𝙋𝙃𝙊𝙏𝙊𝙎 | Healthy YOUth: Breaking Steroetypes on Sexual Health Education. An advocacy collaboration with Southern Luzon Technological College Foundation Inc. - Legazpi City, Sangguniang Kabataan of Legazpi City and PROTECTS UPSCALE Bicol.

Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines Legazpi Site together with GentleMen Bicol for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Inc. and GAYON Albay LGBT Organization Inc. the PROTECTS UPSCALE Team discussed HIV 101 and condom demonstration and offered FREE, CONFIDENTIAL and VOLUNTARY HIV screening and condom distribution.

Spearheaded by The Department of Health-Bicol Center for Health Development through the National HIV, AIDS and STI Prevention & Control Program (NASPCP) in collaboration with the PROTECTS Upscale Project. The said even was participated by different facilities and CBO's in the Bicol.

𝙄𝙉 𝙋𝙃𝙊𝙏𝙊𝙎 | 𝙂𝙔𝙈 𝙂𝙐𝙍𝙇𝙎 𝙏𝙊𝙊 by Sinng Banws PH, an advocacy play to raise awareness fight stigma anong PLHIV. Held at Pasakalye BLKBX, Legazpi City.

With the full support of GentleMen Bicol for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Inc. in partnership with Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines Legazpi Site offered FREE, CONFIDENTIAL and VOLUNTARY HIV screening including FREE Self Testing Kits with FREE condom distribution.
