The day is an opportunity for public and private partners to spread awareness about the status of the pandemic and encourage progress in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care around the world. It has become one of the most widely recognized international health days and a key opportunity to raise awareness, commemorate those who have died, and celebrate victories such as increased access to treatment and prevention services.

𝙄𝙉 𝙋𝙃𝙊𝙏𝙊𝙎 | 𝗨𝗡𝗶𝗧𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗩𝗔𝗪-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 spearheaded by Bicol University Guinobatan Gender and Development Office held at Farmer's Training Center, Bicol University, Guinobatan.

GentleMen Bicol for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, Inc. and Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines - Legazpi Site discussed the topics "May PMS ka ba? Positive Masculinity for Safe Spaces" and "STI, HIV and AHD 101". The team also provided free, confidential and voluntary Community Based HIV Screening during the awareness campaign.

The Sustained Health Initiative of the Philippines (SHIP) is grateful to have been invited to the HIV and AIDS Symposium at Jaime G. España High School in Bulusan, Sorsogon. The event highlighted the importance of understanding oneself through a meaningful discussion on SOGIESC, as well as raising awareness about HIV and AIDS and their prevention.
