Attention Parents, These Are the 9 Amazing Things Children Need to Hear from You Daily ๐Ÿ’–

1. โ€œI love you.โ€
Say it often and mean it. Children never get tired of hearing these three words. It reminds them that no matter what happens, your love is their safe place.

2. โ€œIโ€™m proud of you.โ€
Not just when they win or achieve something big โ€” but when they try, when they help, when they show kindness. Pride should never be performance-based; it should be love-based.

3. โ€œYou make me happy.โ€
Kids need to know that their existence brings joy, not stress. A child who feels theyโ€™re a blessing will grow into an adult who knows theyโ€™re worthy of love.

4. โ€œItโ€™s okay to make mistakes.โ€
Teach them that mistakes arenโ€™t failures โ€” theyโ€™re lessons. When you normalize imperfection, you raise confident, resilient children who donโ€™t fear trying again.

5. โ€œIโ€™m listening.โ€
Put down your phone, look into their eyes, and really listen. Children who feel heard donโ€™t have to shout for attention later in life.

6. โ€œYou are safe with me.โ€
In a world that can feel scary and unpredictable, your voice can be the calm that grounds them. Every child deserves to feel emotionally and physically secure with their parent.

7. โ€œIโ€™m sorry.โ€
When you apologize to your child, you donโ€™t lose authority โ€” you gain respect. You teach them humility, empathy, and accountability through your example.

8. โ€œI believe in you.โ€
Your belief becomes their inner voice. When they doubt themselves, theyโ€™ll hear your encouragement echoing in their mind, pushing them forward.

9. โ€œThank you.โ€
Gratitude isnโ€™t just for adults. Thank your child for helping, for trying, for simply being them. It teaches mutual respect and appreciation within the home.

โœจ Children donโ€™t just remember what you buy them โ€” they remember what you say to them. Speak life into your child daily, and youโ€™ll raise an adult who doesnโ€™t need to recover from their childhood.

The Buenavista Primary Health Care Center reminds the general public on WHAT TO DO AFTER AN EARTHQUAKE:

-Stay Calm
-Check yourself for any injuries and seek medical help
-After you have taken care of yourself, help injured or trapped persons near the affected area.
-Inspect your home for damage. Examine walls, floor, doors, staircases, and windows to make sure that the building is not in danger of collapsing.
-Check for gas leaks, electrical system damage, and water line damage.
-Watch for loose plaster, drywall, and ceilings that could fall.
Use battery-powered flashlights to inspect your home. Kerosene lanterns, torches, candles, and matches may tip over or ignite flammables inside.
-Get everyone out if your home is unsafe.
-Listen to the radio or television for updated emergency information and instructions. Keep yourself informed about the latest updates on earthquakes and aftershocks through reliable sources such as PHIVOLCS-DOST and disaster management agencies. Refrain from spreading fake news that can lead to unnecessary panic and confusion.
-Stay out of damaged buildings. If you are away from home, return only when authorities say it is safe.
-To prepare for a possible earthquake recurrence, ready your supply kit: food (e.g. biscuits), water, clothing, first aid supplies, a mobile phone, a whistle, and a flashlight with extra batteries.
