Majority of pe**le cancer is squamous cell carcinoma, occurs most exclusively in an uncircumcised men, commonly between the ages of 50 and 70 years . Factors associated with intact or redundant prepuce are sm**ma and phimosis. Smegma-induced chronic inflammation may predispose to the development of phimosis as well as SCC. Phimosis, the inability to retract the fo****in over the g***s, is associated with an increased risk of infection as well as dysplastic changes of the preputial sac. Uncircumcised men have been found to be at an increased risk of HPV infection.
Clinically, it may present as a small area of induration and erythema or a large ulcerating and infiltrative lesion. As it progresses, bleeding, itching, discharge, foul odor and pain may be observed.
