Mariano Management and Consultancy Services.

Learning reaches its peak of fun when it’s not just taught—but actually experienced.

On December 6, 2025, Nangka Elementary School became a hub of excitement and empowerment as learners participated in the Education in Emergencies Training. In partnership with the City of Marikina Bureau of Fire Protection, the program equipped students with hands-on knowledge in Basic Life Support and Fire Prevention, ensuring that they not only learned vital skills but also experienced them in practice. The training highlighted the importance of preparedness, safety, and resilience, making every child more confident in facing emergencies with courage and responsibility.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported this meaningful program—the dedicated teachers and staff of Nangka Elementary School, the committed officers of the City of Marikina Bureau of Fire Protection, and the parents and community members who encouraged the learners to take part. Your collective effort made this initiative possible, and together, you have planted seeds of safety, awareness, and empowerment in the lives of the children.

On November 29, 2025, Vineyard facilitated a community awareness session at Nangka, bringing together local leaders, parents, and youth to engage in critical discussions on protection, empowerment, and child development.

The program featured four keynote speakers. Kagawad Susan Magtubo addressed the pressing issue of Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC), emphasizing vigilance and community responsibility in safeguarding children in the digital age. Cath Borje followed with a talk on mental health and bullying, highlighting the importance of resilience, empathy, and supportive environments for young people.

Breakout sessions provided more focused learning opportunities. Ms. Beverly Sison led discussions on violence against women and children, equipping participants with knowledge on prevention and response. Sec. Jane Tan engaged the parents’ group with insights on the different forms of abuse, fostering awareness and proactive protection within families. Meanwhile, students from Marikina High School facilitated sessions with children and youth, centering on child development and encouraging peer-to-peer learning.

The event successfully created a safe and participatory space where diverse groups—parents, youth, and community leaders—could learn, reflect, and commit to collective action. It underscored the shared responsibility of protecting vulnerable members of society and nurturing holistic growth among children and families.

Access to technology and digital tools has transformed education around the world. Yet in the Philippines, limited access to these resources remains a barrier for many communities’ ability to strive to participate in technology-enhanced learning. 💻🖱️⌨️

As a part of their Philippines immersion trip last month, students from Trinity Grammar School ( Grammar School, Kew) donated 80 used laptops to the communities they visited. With the help of Vineyard (Vineyard Philippines), our local lead partner in the Philippines, the laptops were distributed to schools, local churches, and selected individuals. 🤩🏫⛪✨

Already, access to these devices is helping to enhance classroom instruction, support student research, and open new opportunities for learning. đź’Şđź“”

Thank you to the Trinity Grammar students for championing such a wonderful initiative! 🇵🇭🤝🇦🇺

The Annual General Meeting held on November 8, 2025 was a momentous occasion that brought together Vineyard’s partners, partners, and community leaders in a spirit of gratitude and shared vision. Beyond the usual reports and updates, the gathering became a celebration of people whose dedication has shaped the organization’s journey. Former board members were honored for their years of stewardship, the heads of partner schools were recognized for their unwavering commitment to learners, and the Sangguniang Barangays along with community leaders were acknowledged for their vital role in sustaining grassroots initiatives. The recognition was not just ceremonial—it was a heartfelt tribute to the collective effort that has quietly empowered families and communities for more than a decade, reminding everyone that Vineyard’s story is written through the lives and leadership of those who continue to walk alongside its mission.

The calibration and monitoring of CAMSCA groups in Leyte brought together the community chairpersons and village agents in a dynamic session that highlighted both achievements and challenges. The gathering became a platform to exchange best practices—from effective savings mobilization to strengthening accountability within the groups—while also surfacing issues that needed collective attention. What made the meeting truly impactful was the spirit of collaboration: leaders openly shared their experiences, and together we mapped out ways forward. With Vineyard’s intervention, the groups are set to improve through targeted support, capacity-building, and systems that ensure sustainability.
