3. *Facial nerve*: In some cases, conditions affecting the facial nerve (cranial nerve VII) can contribute to vertigo symptoms.

The vestibular nerve is most directly linked to vertigo, as it plays a crucial role in maintaining balance. Issues with this nerve can lead to vertigo symptoms like spinning or dizziness.
