🌍 World AIDS Day 2025

Today, we join the global community in strengthening awareness, compassion, and collective action against HIV and AIDS. This year’s call emphasizes the vital role of families in fostering open conversations on sexual health—because informed and supportive homes build healthier, safer communities.

At the Cauayan Primary Care Facility, we advocate for:
🔹 Non-judgmental discussions about HIV within the household
🔹 Access to accurate information on HIV, sexual health, and prevention
🔹 Guidance for adolescents toward responsible and safe health practices

We encourage every Cauayanon to take part in creating stigma-free spaces and empowering families with the right knowledge.

📍 Visit our DOH HIV Care Facilities for free services, counseling, and education on HIV prevention, testing, and treatment.

Together, let us continue overcoming disruption and transforming the AIDS response—one informed family at a time.

Handle antimicrobials with care.

Observance of World C.O.P.D. Awareness Day

Every 3rd Wednesday of November, we join the global community in raising awareness about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)—a serious lung condition that makes breathing difficult and affects millions worldwide.

COPD is often caused by long-term exposure to harmful particles and gases, with smoking as the leading risk factor. Early detection, lifestyle changes, and proper medical care can significantly improve quality of life.

As your health partner, the Cauayan Primary Care Facility encourages all Cauayanons to:
🔸 Avoid smoking and exposure to second-hand smoke
🔸 Get regular checkups if you experience chronic cough, shortness of breath, or wheezing
🔸 Seek help early—prevention and timely treatment save lives

If you are a smoker and wish to quit, call the DOH Quitline 1558 for free support.

Let us work together for healthier lungs and a healthier community.

Observance of World Toilet Day — November 19

Every 19th of November, we join the global call to promote safe sanitation and raise awareness on the importance of clean and functional toilets in protecting public health. This year’s theme, “Sanitation in a Changing World,” highlights the need to adapt our sanitation systems to evolving environmental, social, and health challenges.

Safe sanitation is essential in preventing diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, hepatitis A, and other waterborne infections. It is a basic human right that supports dignity, safety, and overall well-being.

As part of our commitment to healthier communities, we encourage all Cauayanons to:
🔹 Practice proper toilet use and maintenance
🔹 Ensure access to clean water and hygienic sanitation facilities
🔹 Wash hands with soap and water after using the toilet
🔹 Support community efforts for improved sanitation and waste management

Together, let us build a cleaner, safer, and healthier Cauayan.

Cauayan Primary Care Facility joins the nation in celebrating National Children’s Month!

Every November, we highlight the importance of protecting the rights and well-being of every child. This year’s observance reminds us that “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Buhay Mahalaga”—every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

As advocates of child health and safety, the Cauayan Primary Care Facility encourages all families and communities to:
🟢 Stay informed about children’s rights
🟢 Promote a violence-free, abuse-free, and bullying-free environment
🟢 Ensure children are protected—online and offline
🟢 Strengthen positive parenting and open communication at home

Together, let us build a community where every Cauayanon child grows healthy, happy, and safe.

Drug Abuse Prevention & Control Week

This week, we join the Department of Health in promoting a strong, compassionate, and preventive approach to drug abuse prevention. Guided by the theme “People First: Stop Stigma & Discrimination, Strengthen Prevention,” we reaffirm our commitment to protecting the health, dignity, and future of every Cauayanon.

Drug dependence is a health issue, not a moral failure. By reducing stigma and expanding access to support, we empower individuals, families, and communities to seek help without fear or judgment.

🛡 OUR ADVOCACY: PREVENTION, SUPPORT, AND EMPOWERMENT

✔ Promote awareness on the dangers of substance abuse
✔ Encourage healthy, positive activities for youth and families
✔ Support individuals seeking help—free from stigma and discrimination
✔ Strengthen community partnerships for prevention and recovery
✔ Utilize referral channels such as QUITNOW: Call 1550 for assistance

🌱 CHOOSE A HEALTHIER HIGH — BISYO-FREE LIFE!

A life free from harmful substances is a life filled with:
✨ clearer goals
✨ healthier relationships
✨ safer communities
✨ brighter futures

Let us work together to build a drug-free, safe, and empowered Cauayan where every person is valued and supported.

For concerns or assistance, visit the Cauayan Primary Care Facility or coordinate with your Barangay Health Stations.

World Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims, Survivors, and their Families

Today, we join the global community in honoring the lives lost, recognizing the strength of survivors, and standing in solidarity with the families forever changed by road crashes. This day reminds us that every life on the road is valuable—Bawat Buhay, Mahalaga.

Road crashes remain a major public health concern, yet they are preventable. Through responsible driving, safer roads, and collective action, we can save countless lives and protect every Cauayanon from avoidable tragedy.

🚦 A REMINDER FOR EVERYONE

To keep our roads safe:
✔ Stay focused—avoid distractions while driving or walking near traffic
✔ Be patient and respectful toward other road users
✔ Make sound and responsible decisions on the road
✔ Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
✔ Avoid smoking and substances that impair judgment
✔ Follow traffic signs, speed limits, and pedestrian rules

As we remember, let us also recommit to building safer, more compassionate roads for every Cauayanon.

Road safety is a shared responsibility. Let us protect one another. 🕯️🚧🚗
