Ayon sa mga doctor, mas mabuti ang kumain ng husto sa umaga para sa enerhiya at metabolismo.

Almusal: Kumain sa loob ng 1-2 oras pagkagising para simulan ang metabolismo at magbigay ng enerhiya.

Tanghalian: Kumain 4-5 oras pagkatapos ng almusal. Ang maagang tanghalian ay nakakatulong sa mas mahusay na metabolismo at pamamahala ng timbang.

Hapunan: Kumain ng 2-3 oras bago matulog para sa maayos na pagtunaw at maiwasan ang pagkaabala sa tulog.

Merienda: Kung ang agwat ng pagkain ay higit sa 4-5 oras, isang maliit na balansadong merienda na may protina, fiber, at malusog na fats ang makakatulong.

A TASTE OF TRADITION

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) announced on Friday, October 3, that the Geographical Indication (GI) registration of Alburquerque Asin Tibuok from Bohol has been granted, marking it as one of the country's cultural and economic treasures.

A geographical indication (GI) refers to products originating from a specific location, possessing qualities or a reputation linked to that origin.

Hailing from Albuquerque, Bohol, the Asin Tibuok is a rare artisanal sea salt produced using a meticulous, centuries-old technique that involves burning coconut husks, filtering ash, and boiling seawater in specialized clay pots to create dense, egg-shaped salt masses.

The Asin Tibuok is unrefined and free of additives, featuring a smoky, sweet flavor complemented by a distinct coconut aroma.

Despite its unique characteristics, the Asin Tibuok faces extinction, with only a few families preserving the tradition due to various factors, such as changing consumption patterns, climate change, rural depopulation, migration, and conflict.

With the registration of Alburquerque Asin Tibuok, the Philippines now boasts three registered geographical indications: Guimaras Mangoes, Aklan Piรฑa, and Alburquerque Asin Tibuok.

"The inclusion of the Alburquerque Asin Tibuok into our growing list of geographical indications further underscores IPOPHL's efforts to safeguard the country's cultural icons, likewise potential economic drivers, under a strengthened intellectual property framework," said IPOPHL Acting Director General Nathaniel S. Arevalo.
