What you see in the picture is not a fat compartment of the eye. It is a siliconoma from silicon injections that has embedded on the subcutaneous layer and muscle layer of the upper eyelid.

Warning: injecting unknown or non‑approved fillers (anything that is not medical-grade hyaluronic acid or approved calcium hydroxylapatite) can cause serious, long‑term tissue damage.

Non‑resorbable or impure materials like liquid silicone, industrial oils, PMMA microspheres, or unlabelled “booster” mixes often called “collagen filler” can trigger chronic foreign‑body inflammation. That often presents as painful or non-painful, firm or hard nodules, persistent redness, swelling, or skin breakdown. Over time the immune system may form granulomas (aggregates of inflammatory cells) or siliconomas (granulomatous reactions specific to silicone), which are difficult to treat and may require repeated steroid injections, antibiotics, or surgery.

Only get injections from licensed medical professionals using clearly labelled, approved products. If you develop lumps, pain, fever, discharge, or worsening skin changes after a filler, seek medical evaluation promptly.
