WALANG PASOK | Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. has announced the suspension of classes at all levels, public and private, and work in all government offices in the Province of Apayao on Friday, November 28, 2025, due to the torrential rains affecting the province.

Government offices involved in disaster response and frontline services will continue to operate.

Work in the private sector will remain at the discretion of their respective employers.

The public is advised to stay indoors, monitor official advisories, and cooperate with local authorities.

Conner District Hospital reached a proud milestone today, November 26, as it was conferred with the Gold Trailblazer Award under the Compliance Stage of the Performance Governance System (PGS) during the Public Revalida Forum held at Makati Diamond Residences. This recognition highlights the hospital’s strong commitment to strengthening its governance, improving service delivery, and sustaining reforms that truly benefit the community.

Dr. Oliver D. Lacambra, OIC–Medical Center Chief I , represented the hospital and shared its progress since officially starting its PGS journey in 2023. In his presentation, he outlined several key accomplishments—from enhanced institutional processes and upgraded healthcare services to the successful rollout of strategic initiatives aligned with the hospital’s long-term goals.

The event also featured a distinguished panel of evaluators and reactors, including Orlando A. Clavinez, Former Medical Field Operations Director (Retired) of Wyeth Philippines; Dr. Glory V. Baltazar, Medical Center Chief II of Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center; Dr. Andrew Jay G. Pusung, Center Director for Trauma and Critical Care of Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital; Usec. Glenn Matthew G. Baggao, Undersecretary of the Department of Health; Dr. Renilyn Parrenas-Reyes, OSM Head of Western Visayas Medical Center; and Dr. Janice V. Pagaran-Alcordo, Medical Center Chief II of Adela Serra Ty Memorial Medical Center. Their insights and feedback played an important role in ensuring a thorough and credible revalida process.

Conner District Hospital celebrates an extraordinary series of milestones as it continues its journey toward excellence and transformation.

On November 25, Conner District Hospital proudly received the 𝒫𝑅𝐼𝑀𝐸 𝐻𝑅𝑀 𝐵𝓇𝑜𝓃𝓏𝑒 𝒜𝓌𝒶𝓇𝒹 in Baguio City, a clear recognition of our unwavering commitment to professionalizing and elevating our human resource systems.

Today, the momentum continued as CDH bagged three major awards during the EKB Health Awards 2025 in Luna, Apayao:

𝑪𝑫𝑯 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒔 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝑵𝒆𝒖𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒈𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 (𝑪𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒚) 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒆

Conner District Hospital successfully performed its first neurosurgical procedure to a 20 y/o male patient diagnosed with a right frontoparietal subdural hemorrhage. The procedure was carried out by CDH’s Visiting Consultant (Neurosurgeon) Dr. Mariz Sales assisted by Dr. Regimar Benito (General surgeon) and OR nurses Daniel Clave Bayaua and Shadam Bono. This marks a significant achievement in the advancement of its surgical and neurological care capabilities.

The patient, who presented with symptoms consistent with an intracranial bleed, underwent thorough clinical evaluation and neuroimaging, which revealed a subdural hematoma in the right frontoparietal region. Following multidisciplinary consultation, the team proceeded with a craniotomy to evacuate the hematoma and relieve intracranial pressure.

The surgery was completed successfully, with the patient showing stable postoperative progress under close monitoring in the intensive care unit.

CDH is now capable of neuro surgery procedures with the help of the newly procured surgical operating microscope with robotics visualization system.
This accomplishment highlights CDH’s commitment to expanding its specialty services and providing high-quality neurosurgical care to the community.
