10 DAILY HABITS TO IMPROVE YOUR OVERALL WELLBEING

Staying positive and optimistic every day can be difficult, especially if you have to worry about things like work, finances and home life.

If you’re trying to improve your overall wellbeing and life a healthier lifestyle, here are a few simple tips and suggestions that can help you feel happy every day.

EAT MORE FRESH FOOD
Your diet is one of the most important aspects of your life and it can have an impact on things like your ability to focus and your energy levels.

Eating more natural foods like fresh fruit and vegetables will give your body and mind the nutrients it needs to get through the day.

GET SOME EXERCISE
It has been scientifically proven that regular exercise promotes a healthy release of endorphins that keep you happy and motivated.

Regular exercise will also keep your body healthy, improve your fitness and extend your lifespan.

TAKE IN THE SUNLIGHT
It can be difficult to get outside and enjoy the breeze, especially if you work long days in an office or factory.

However, making time to get outside and soaking up the sun can help keep you feeling fresh.

Sunlight increases vitamin D levels and can help reduce your blood pressure.

CREATE A TO-DO LIST
Sometimes, things can get overwhelming and the everyday grind can become too much.

Creating a list of aims and targets will help you stay on track and meet your goals, thereby reducing stress and anxiety.

SOCIALISE
Humans are social creatures and we always work best when we are part of a community.

Although you may not be best friends with everyone you work with, it’s always important to spend time throughout the day talking with people.

This helps you vent and create friendships.

TRY MEDITATION
If you find yourself feeling stressed at the end of the day or full of anxiety when you wake up in the morning, meditation is a great way of clearing your mind and helping you stay focused.

DRINK MORE WATER
The majority of our bodies are made up of water and it’s important that you keep it well hydrated throughout the day.

Dehydration can cause you to feel tired and can cause things like headaches and stress.

CREATE A DAILY ROUTINE
The fear of the unknown and the inability to account for surprise occurrences can cause many people to feel stressed or anxious.

If you often feel this way, it can help to gradually develop a daily routine to help yourself stay focused and positive.

LEARN SOMETHING NEW
Whether you love reading or you prefer watching videos online, there are plenty of ways to soak up new information and learn new lessons.

Try to learn something new every day, even if it’s just a new word or an interesting fact.

GET SOME FRESH AIR
When it seems like the world is moving at a thousand miles an hour and everything is piling up on top of you, a breath of fresh air can often be the best remedy.

Make time to get outside and breathe in the fresh air to calm your mind.

TRIVIA OF THE DAY:

Did you know that LAUGHTER is a STRONG MEDICINE?

🀣It relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after.
🀣It boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.
🀣It triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.
🀣It protects the heart. Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.
🀣It burns calories. Laughing for 10 to 15 minutes a day can burn approximately 40 calories.

What is a sedentary lifestyle?πŸ€”

A sedentary lifestyle is one that involves very little or no physical exercise, wherein most of the day is spent π™¨π™žπ™©π™©π™žπ™£π™œ, lying down and expending very little energy. Sedentary lifestyles increase all causes of mortality, double the risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and obesity, and increase the risks of colon cancer, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, lipid disorders, depression and anxiety.

It is reported earlier that over 1,000 scientists from 25 different countries staged protests last week following the release of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s new report. The report warned that rapid and deep cuts to greenhouse gas emissions are necessary by 2025 to avoid catastrophic climate effects and this is caused by continuously using of fossil fuels.

What is fossil fuels?❗️

Fossil fuels are basically dead plants and animals that decomposed over millions of years. Heat and pressure from the Earth transform those remains into fossil fuels, like coal, oil and natural gas, underground. To access these fuels requires drilling and mining that leads to lots of environmental destruction. When fossil fuels are burned, gases like carbon dioxide are released into the atmosphere that add up over time and trap heat. This is why they’re called β€œgreenhouse” gases β€” they act like a greenhouse over the Earth. The more greenhouse gases there are in the atmosphere, the hotter the planet gets.

Instead of riding vehicles, do some π™¬π™–π™‘π™ π™žπ™£π™œ 𝙀𝙧 π™—π™žπ™ π™žπ™£π™œ in order to avoid carbon emissions completely and at the same time, we are engaging ourselves to a healthier lifestyle.
