Bilang isang adult na may kapasidad na magbigay ng pagkain at inumin sa mga bata naisip ko, ano bang mga pagkain ang regular na binibigay ko sa aking mga pamangkin? ka-eskwela nila kapag sa bahay gumagawa ng project? kanilang kalaro? inaanak?

Hindi naman sa magdudulot ng agarang sakit if makakakain sila ng donut, cake, biscuits, chocolate. Ngunit, finifeed ko pala yung nagsisimulang addiction sa sugary foods ng hindi nila namamalayan dahil yung ang nakikita at ginagawa sa paligid. At ito yung nagiging sanhi ng pagkakaroon ng insulin resistance na kalaunan ay nagiging karamdaman tulad ng diabetes na syang ginagamot ko sa mga pasyenteng nakikita ko sa klinik ngayon.

Inaamin ko, sinabi ko din dati yung mga katagang, "Ok lng yan, bata pa naman sila", at dahil dito ay huminhingi ako ng paumanhin. Naging kontibutor din ako sa food addiction nila ng hindi ko sinasadya. Wala pa kasi akong alam noon. Tulog pa ang aking kamalayan.

Kung ayaw mong umupo dito ng 4hours 3x a week at matusok ng dalawang malaking karayom para I-connect sa machine na yan wag na matigas ang ulo mo! Puno na ang mga dialysis center, wala ka ng slot. Hindi ka na welcome kaya wag ka ng pasaway. Alagaan mo katawan mo dahil mahirap magkasakit. Magastos magkasakit.
Kung tamad kang uminom ng tubig ngaun, baguhin mo na yan! Sulitin mong uminom habang wala ka pang limit dahil kapag may CKD (chronic kidney disease) ka na, sobrang limitado na ang pwede mong inuming tubig. Tigilan mo na kakainom ng soda (favorite coke) lht ng makukulay na inumin. Tigilan mo ng uminom ng mga alak. Tigilan mo ng kumain ng mga process food, noodles, mga pagkaing mayaman sa preservatives, ketchup,paborito mong french fries etc.
