MISSION

• To assist physicians in the prompt diagnosis through the detection of measurable in the blood and other body fluids;
• To provide reliable and economical clinical output for annual and random physical check-up;

• To project an image of dependability to the general public.

• To serve our patients with empathy and compassion through patient care. VISION

• A locally-recognized free-standing laboratory that envisions the transformation of society in response to the signs of the times. GOAL

The GOAL of the Laboratory department is to provide laboratory reports with highest quality for prognosis and diagnosis of disease essential to patient care. This manual is intended to guide the medical personnel of BMCDC in the proper utilization of laboratory facilities and services. Objectives are as follows:

1.) To serve as guidelines for the systematic and coordinated operation of the Clinical laboratory at all times;
2.) To give the medical staff an insight into the “Quality Control Program” to ensure accurate and reliable results.
3.) To follow a scheduled regular preventive maintenance in our equipment for accuracy & precision.
4.) To treat our patients with care & empathy.

✅For the most accurate results, some tests require you to wait a few hours before eating or drinking.

Here’s what you need to know: fasting is required for the following tests:
1. 𝐆𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭 (𝐎𝐆𝐓𝐓) & 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫 (𝐅𝐁𝐒): Fasting for at least 8-10 hours is necessary for accurate glucose measurements.

2. 𝐋𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞 (𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐥, 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐥𝐲𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬, 𝐇𝐃𝐋 & 𝐋𝐃𝐋): Fasting for at least 10-12 hours is required for precise lipid profile results.
