Hospital Bill Reveal
3 days confinement at Medical City Clark = 67,812 pesos
and I paid 0 (zero) pesos
This is not a sales pitch but a realization
I’m very grateful to my Employer’s (dnata Clark) HMO coverage because I don’t have to worry about my medical expenses including my take home meds. All I have to think about is getting better.
Breakdown of 67,812 pesos
PhilHealth - 13,900
HMO Inpatient: 29,035
HMO Outpatient: 20,377
HMO Take Home Meds: 4,500
Story time:
After going to the gym I texted my urologist about a certain pain and then he asked me to go directly to Emergency Room.
The ER doctor gave me nubain to deal with the pain then ultrasound agad.
After 5 hours sa Emergency Room
Doc: okay ka lang ba iadmit ka?
Me: Yes, confine niyo na po ako. (No hesitations, because I know I have an hmo coverage).
Realizations
1. Freelancers - make sure to get an hmo coverage. mas malaki nga sahod as freelancer compared pag employed pero isipin mo yung potential medical cost and other benefits
2. Moving to a new company - think of the hmo coverage. mas mataas nga sahod kaso hindi naman covered parents or family mo? unlimited check up nga kaso hindi covered and take home meds. Mahina 3k for take home meds lalo pag branded at hindi generic
Health is wealth. Invest in your health.
PS: thank you so mga get well messages, nagpadala ng foods at noodles 😜 .
