Cesarean Section is Life Saving.

If you gave birth via Cesarean Section, your body didn’t fail you, you are brave enough to do the right thing either for your baby or for yourself.

Praying for a safe delivery to expectant mothers 🤲

CORD TIE!!!!!!( Nuchal cord)

What you see in the photo below is One of the reasons why Labour might not be progressing for you during labour

Cord is tightly wrapped around baby!!!

If you run away from the hospital because you are told you need a cesarean section or go to a prayer camp or deliver in an unsafe place, you very likely will lose your baby and have nobody but yourself to blame.

Sometimes you need to trust those you have studied for many years to take care of you.

This is the only way we can make things better.

And when you feel your doctor isn't taking good care of you, find a different one to take care of you.

You are worth saving.

And your life is worth living.

A friendly reminder.

If nag advise po ang OB / Midwife / medical provider na high risk kayo and sa hospital manganak, please follow. We advise this not because gusto namin kayo mapagastos, but we know that you will be better taken care of. 9 months po ang pregnancy which means you have 9 months of preparation, emotionally, physically and yes, that includes financially.

Every pregnancy is different. Pwedeng ma CS if previously normal delivery (if there is an indication), pwede din ma normal delivery if previous CS (will be screen first if pwede).

For high blood / diabetic patient, there are many complications now (stillbirth if sugar is not controlled, pwedeng sobrang laki or liit ni baby, seizure or bleeding). For placenta previa, high risk for bleeding.
For breech / transverse lie, pwede ma trap ang head ni baby. All this will be carefully explained to you by your provider.

If high risk, usually mas frequent po and monitoring. Every 2 weeks, minsan weekly, minsan every 3 days pa nga eh lalo na if bumababa na amniotic fluid ni baby. 😅

We only live once, please don’t risk it to be short lived, or regret in the end. Our goal always is to have a safe and healthy pregnancy. Please trust what we advise, because we know the complications and risks involved.

I am praying always for my patients. For their safety in their delivery and recovery. Because I know that there are things out of our control. Not everything will end okay, but there is a reason for everything. We also grieve with you in silence. Praying and hoping that it will not happen again to other patients.

Amping pirme.

-Love, Doc Zen

She lost her baby. She lost her womb. But her life was saved.

A follower shared a story that left me speechless.

She was in the labour ward with another woman when suddenly, the nurse began shouting:
“Obstructed labour! Madam please don’t push!”

They quickly wheeled the woman into the theatre for an emergency C-section.
Despite being in the hospital and under professional care, the situation escalated.
She lost her baby due to severe bleeding (something related to a prolapse).

Hours later, the bleeding still wouldn’t stop. The doctors had no choice but to ask her husband to sign for a hysterectomy, her womb had to be removed to save her life.

She had a C-section.
She lost her baby.
She lost her womb.
But she survived.

This is the reality many don’t talk about. Even in a hospital, labour can turn complicated without warning.
What she experienced is called obstructed labour, when the baby can’t come out naturally despite strong contractions.

If not handled immediately, it can lead to:
• Uterine rupture
• Excessive bleeding
• Fetal loss
• And sometimes, removal of the womb to save the mother

This is why timely monitoring, skilled care, and emergency readiness are not optional in maternity care.

To every woman reading this:
✅ Go for regular antenatal care.
✅ Choose a facility equipped for emergencies.
✅ Speak up if you feel anything is off.
✅ And always remember: safe delivery is not automatic. It’s God’s grace plus proper care.

Let this post remind us that childbirth is powerful, but also unpredictable.
May no woman go through this kind of pain again.
It is well.
