PUBLIC ADVISORY: Temporary Suspension of the Rabies PCR on Human Specimens Effective Immediately
All Regional Offices, Surveillance Units, Health Offices, and Referring Hospitals and Facilities/General Public, please be informed that RITM shall temporarily suspend its laboratory testing for human Rabies samples until further notice to conduct necessary internal and external quality assurance activities and assay re-optimization as part of the Institute's quality improvement activities.
All rabies specimens will still be accepted and received at RITM. However, please note that there may be some delays in the releasing of laboratory test results while testing is currently suspended.
