JOINT STATEMENT OF THE 49 SCHOOLS OF THE CONGREGATION OF THE RELIGIOUS OF THE VIRGIN MARY (RVM)
We, the 49 schools of the Congregation of the Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM), stand united as one Ignacian Marian community in solidarity with the Archbishop of Manila, the Catholic Bishopsโ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), and the Conference of Major Superiors in the Philippines, in their collective call for moral transformation and good governance in our beloved nation.
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the International Day of Peace, we enjoin all RVM administrators, faculty and staff, parents, alumni, and Ignacian Marian learners to wear WHITE as a visible and peaceful expression of our shared advocacy for truth, justice, transparency, and accountability.
This day is not only a global celebration of peace but also a sacred moment of faith, unity, and solidarity for the Filipino people. In a time when our nation longs for renewal, we turn to the wisdom of Scripture:
โThe fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.โ (Proverbs 9:10)
True wisdom calls us to reject corruption and deceit, and to walk the path that leads to the fullness of life in Christโa path marked by integrity, compassion, and peace.
Guided by our 1726 Rules and Constitutions, which uphold prayerful discipline, inclusive formation, and shared governance, we reaffirm our commitment to live out the Ignacian Marian spirituality of humble service for the transformation of society. As Mother Ignacia del Espรญritu Santo taught her companions in times of trial:
โWhere silence is observed, fervor is maintained.โ
In todayโs challenges, this call reminds us to resist the noise of injustice and remain steadfast in faith, allowing our inner convictions to fuel collective action for truth and reform.
We encourage all members of our school communities to actively participate in parish or organizational mobilizations and to give public witness to our mission of forming persons of faith for service.
May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of the Assumption, and Mother Ignacia del Espรญritu Santo continue to illumine our path as we journey together in faith, hope, and love for our country.
