🫨 DURING EARTHQUAKES

1. Protect from dust and fumes

Debris dust, paint fumes, and chemicals may act as oxidative stressors.

Use:

Mask (KN95/surgical)

Wet cloth if no mask available

---

2. Avoid Exposure to Chemicals

After earthquakes, avoid:

Broken thermometers

Strong detergents

Industrial chemicals

Insecticide sprays (can trigger oxidative stress)

---

3. Maintain hydration

Stress + heat = dehydration, which worsens hemolysis.

Drink safe water regularly.

---

4. Stress control

Severe emotional stress can worsen oxidative stress.
Encourage calm breathing, especially for children.
