ETDMH MESSAGE OF SUPPORT AND SOLIDARITY
World Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims and Survivors
November 2025
Today, Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital (ETDMH) stands in solemn solidarity with our communities as we commemorate the World Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims and Survivors. We honor the precious lives lost on our roads, the families forever changed by tragedy, and the survivors who continue to live each day with courage, resilience, and hope.
Road crashes take away more than statistics—they take loved ones, dreams, and futures. As a healthcare institution, we witness firsthand the deep physical, emotional, and social impacts of these preventable incidents. And so today, we reaffirm our commitment to saving lives, promoting road safety, and supporting all efforts to build safer, more compassionate communities.
ETDMH pledges to:
• Strengthen our emergency and trauma care services to better respond to road crash victims;
• Promote road safety awareness and injury prevention in our communities;
• Stand with survivors in their healing journey—physically, emotionally, and psychosocially;
• Honor the memory of those who have gone ahead by advocating for safer roads for all.
To all families who have lost loved ones, we offer our heartfelt prayers and deepest sympathies. To the survivors, we honor your strength. And to every road user, we echo today’s global call: Let us be vigilant, responsible, and compassionate—because every life on the road matters.
Together, let us remember, support, and take action.
Together, let us work for a future where no more lives are lost on our roads.
ETDMH joins the world in remembrance, healing, and hope.
