PROPOSED RANAW MENTAL HEALTH ORDINANCE!

During the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan on January 16, 2023, we introduced the proposed Ranaw Mental Health Ordinance, a legislative measure which aims to intensify mental health programs and services in the province of Lanao del Sur.

With the unanimous support of my colleagues in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, as it is included in Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid "Mujam" Raki-in Adiong’s legislative agenda and Governor Mamintal "Bombit" Alonto Adiong Jr.’s health advocacy, the proposed ordinance passed in its first reading.

In the coming weeks, the SP Committee on Health and SP Committee on Social Services led by BM Zorab Mangotara and BM Nash Ganda, Jr., respectively, will be conducting a Joint Committee Public Hearing and Consultation to solicit more feedback and inputs from the public.

In the meantime, we are calling for submissions of statements and position papers on this said measure.
