I felt truly motivated after hearing the meaningful insights shared during today’s panel discussion on the integration and impact of lifestyle medicine across all medical specialties. After all, lifestyle interventions remain the first-line approach in managing non-communicable diseases. Providing optimal patient care is also a multidisciplinary responsibility—no specialty is above or more advanced than another. As one of the discussants beautifully stated, “Lifestyle Medicine is the common denominator of every medical specialty and a common language for every educational sector.”

Para sa mga may sakit sa bato (CKD) na hindi pa nag-dialysis, mahalaga ang tamang nutrisyon at pamumuhay. Regular na mag-ehersisyo at isama ang mga aktibidad na nakatutulong sa pag-manage ng stress.

Ang wastong pangangalaga at pagsunod sa mga medikal na payo ay susi sa pagpapanatili ng kalusugan ng inyong mga bato. "Prevention is better than cure." Ang tamang nutrisyon, healthy lifestyle, at regular check-up ay maaaring makatulong upang maiwasan ang pag da-dialysis.

Make every meal time just right!

Ayon sa mga doctor, mas mabuti ang kumain ng husto sa umaga para sa enerhiya at metabolismo.

Almusal: Kumain sa loob ng 1-2 oras pagkagising para simulan ang metabolismo at magbigay ng enerhiya.

Tanghalian: Kumain 4-5 oras pagkatapos ng almusal. Ang maagang tanghalian ay nakakatulong sa mas mahusay na metabolismo at pamamahala ng timbang.

Hapunan: Kumain ng 2-3 oras bago matulog para sa maayos na pagtunaw at maiwasan ang pagkaabala sa tulog.

Merienda: Kung ang agwat ng pagkain ay higit sa 4-5 oras, isang maliit na balansadong merienda na may protina, fiber, at malusog na fats ang makakatulong.

Prevention is better than cure. Sa pamamagitan ng tamang nutrisyon, healthy lifestyle, at regular check-up, maiiwasan ang Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
