Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin joins in the celebration of Malaria and Filariasis Awareness Month with the theme: "Prevention, Early Detection, and Prompt Treatment towards a Malaria and Filariasis Free Philippines by 2030"

This month, we strengthen our commitment to eliminate Malaria and Filariasis by raising awareness on prevention, early detection, and prompt treatment. Our health teams continue to promote:
๐Ÿ”ธ Use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets
๐Ÿ”ธ Environmental sanitation and destruction of mosquito breeding sites
๐Ÿ”ธ Early consultation for fever, swollen limbs, or other symptoms
๐Ÿ”ธ Regular health education and community awareness activities

Together, let us create a safer, healthier community free from mosquito-borne diseases. ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ“ฃ Act now. Stay protected. Keep our communities Malaria- and Filaria-free!

Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin Public Health Unit joins in the celebration of National Consciousness Week Against Counterfeit Medicines (3rd Week of November) with this year theme: โ€œInform to Reform: Multisectoral collaboration towards eradicating counterfeit medicine: Isang Bayan, Isang Laban โ€“ Pekeng Gamot ay Iwasan!

๐Ÿ’Š It's National Consciousness Week Against Counterfeit Medicines! ๐Ÿšซ Your health is non-negotiable.

This year, our focus is clear: Knowledge is our defense, and Unity is our strength.

Counterfeit medicines pose a severe threat to public health. They can contain toxic ingredients or no effective medicine at all, risking your recovery and your life.

What You Can Do: Collaborative Action

๐Ÿ“Be Informed: Always verify that your medicine has an FDA registration number and that the packaging looks legitimate.

๐Ÿ“Be Vigilant: Purchase medications ONLY from licensed and reputable pharmacies and drug outlets. Avoid suspicious online sellers or unusually cheap street vendors.

๐Ÿ“Be a Partner: Report any suspected counterfeit products to the authorities (e.g., the FDA or local law enforcement).

Let's make this a true "Isang Bayan, Isang Laban" effort! Protect your healthโ€”insist on genuine, authorized medicines.
