Journey of an APAS Mommy
My Husband and I resumed this business recently to support my medications for my APAS pregnancy. I am currently on my 16th week and in APAS category 2 & 5. Just like other APAS mommies, there is fear yet there is huge faith and hope that GOD is fully in control. Having APAS challenged us not just financially, it has proven my trust and love to my partner in life. This situation also has led us closer to each other and most especially closer to GOD.
Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome (APAS) would require daily injections of Innohep which would cost roughly Php470 a day, and Intralipid Transfusion every 3 or 4 weeks at Php14,000 per transfusion. Blood tests are required monthly also that would cost minimum of Php10,000. Also on 6 medicines daily that would roughly cost Php8,000 a month.
Aside from having APAS, I am currently on bed rest due to placenta previa totalis, but this will not hinder me to work hand in hand with my husband in fighting for this child. So with the small source that we have (the internet), we decided to make this useful for the life of our baby. Just like the celebrity moms above, I firmly believe in God’s miracle, provision and faithfulness. God’s love and timing is always perfect.
