𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: The 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬’ 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐈𝐓𝐑𝐌𝐂𝐄𝐀) receives the renewed Certificate of Registration of its Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) from the Civil Service Commission – Region I on March 3, 2026, during the hospital’s Flag Raising Ceremony.

The certificate was awarded by Director Cornelia M. Rillera, Acting Director IV of CSC Region 1, and Director Romulo V. Nabua, Director II of CSC La Union Field Office, and received by ITRMCEA President, Mr. Daryll F. Domondon.

The renewal of registration aims to maintain the established harmonious and productive relationship between and among employees of ITRMC, and ensuring that the CNA complies with existing laws, rules, and regulations, especially under the CSC.

𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 | Dr. Menchie C. Lomboy-De Guzman, Medical Specialist IV from the Department of Radiology has been awarded as Outstanding Radiologist in Public and Community Service under the Legends Awards from the Philippine College of Radiology (PCR) during the institution’s 78th Annual Convention.

As a ‘sillag’, the award is a manifestation of Dr. Menchie’s continuing compassion and practice of excellence in public service, especially in the delivery of quality healthcare services to the communities as the primary goal of ITRMC.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: Department of Health Undersecretary Albert Francis E. Domingo visits the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center today, February 13, 2026, focusing on the hospital's delivery in tertiary care services and public health services.

The visit also served as a platform to seek guidance from the Undersecretary in advancing the ITRMC's delivery of healthcare services and initiatives, in support to the Department of Health's mandates

The Undersecretary was welcomed by the ITRMC OIC-MCC II, Dr. Unity H. Cortez and the members of the hospital's management.

𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 | 𝐈𝐓𝐑𝐌𝐂 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐒𝐎 𝟏𝟓𝟏𝟖𝟗:𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The DOH-Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center – Department of Pathology successfully hurdled the ISO 15189:2022 accreditation assessment conducted by the Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB) on February 9–13, 2026. During the Closing Meeting, the Department was formally endorsed for accreditation to ISO 15189:2022 after demonstrating a quality management system guided by competence, reliability, and continual improvement in medical laboratory services. The applied signatories were likewise deemed competent and aligned with the criteria for authorization as PAB signatories. The final accreditation certificate shall be issued upon submission and acceptance of the remaining required documentation for accreditation.

The following personnel were endorsed by the PAB Assessors as competent signatories. The pathologists endorsed were Dr. Brenda I. Rosuman, Dr. Cheshire Therese Madrid-Estoesta, Dr. Dennis R. Colisao, Dr. Jimmy Rosales, and Dr. Amerlito Nuesca. The resident pathologists endorsed were Dr. Criselle Marie Austria, Dr. Roxanne Joy Villanueva, Dr. Rodolf Nedic, Dr. Diana Jaye Rabut, Dr. Erika Manzano, Dr. Jerome Mislang, Dr. Allain Dumangeng, and Dr. Ruth Rimando. The medical technologists endorsed and deemed competent as PAB signatories for ISO 15189:2022 were Roberto Lim, RMT, MPH (Section Head), Eden Joyce Almodovar, RMT, Nerissa Hufano, RMT, Trisha Mae De Guzman, RMT, Rowena Palacay, RMT, Joash Evangel Campos, RMT, Geraldine Casila, RMT, Nolly Jane Layno, RMT, Wendilyn Lavado, RMT, Danica Lictaoa, RMT, and Christine Marie Joy Tejada, RMT. This achievement reflects the Department’s continuing commitment to ensuring accurate laboratory results, patient-centered care, technical competence, and a culture of quality and continuous improvement in accordance with international standards.

In line with the banner mandate of the Department of Health (DOH) to bring essential health services closer to the people, the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center partners with the DOH Ilocos Center for Health Development and Robinsons Mall La Union on the establishment of a Wellness Clinic, targeted to open in March 2026.

The DOH Wellness Clinics are set to allow more Filipinos to conveniently avail of themselves of preventive, promotive, and basic health services within their daily environments.

ITRMC OIC-MCC II Dr. Unity H. Cortez and OIC-CMPS Dr. Jan Paulette D. Velasco signed the Memorandum of Agreement for the Wellness Clinic, today, February 12, 2026, with DOH Ilocos CHD Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco and Robinsons Mall La Union Senior Director for Operations, Ms. Catherine Alejandro.

The Wellness Clinic will cater general and senior citizen consultations; mental health program, and wellness and nutrition services; imaging services; and laboratory services.
