Lapu Lapu City Hospital proudly celebrates a significant milestone with the successful completion of its first ever 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐱𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐅) procedure under the care of our orthopedic surgeon.

This achievement marks an important step forward in advancing surgical and medical services for the people of Lapu Lapu City.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Cindi King Chan and Congressman Junard "Ahong" Chan for their unwavering support, which made this accomplishment possible.

Together, we continue to bring quality healthcare closer to every Oponganon.

KARAGDAGANG 2,525 NA KASO NG HFMD, NAITALA NG DOH SA LOOB LANG NG ISANG LINGGO

Umabot na sa 39,893 ang bilang ng kaso ng HFMD na naitala ng DOH as of August 16, 2025.

Karagdagang 2,525 na kaso ang nadagdag sa loob lang ng isang linggo mula sa 37,368 na naitala noong a-nuebe ng Agosto. Kalahati sa mga naiulat na kaso ay mga batang edad isa hanggang tatlong taong gulang.

Dahil dito, nakikipag-ugnayan na ang DOH sa mga local government units upang mapaigting ang pagmomonitor ng mga kaso ng HFMD sa mga rehiyon.

Nakakasa na rin ang pagpupulong ng healthy learning institution ng DOH upang mapag-usapan ang mga hakbang na imumungkahing isagawa para sa HFMD prevention and management sa mga eskwelahan.

Ang HFMD ay isang nakahahawang sakit na pwedeng makuha sa laway na may virus mula sa ubo, bahing, o pagsasalita. Maaari rin itong makuha sa paghawak ng mata, ilong, o bibig gamit ang kamay na nakahawak sa bagay na kontaminado ng virus.

Mabilis na makahawa ang HFMD kaya’t paalala ng DOH, lalo na sa mga magulang, na kung sakaling makaramdam ng sintomas ang anak gaya ng lagnat, singaw sa bibig, pananakit ng lalamunan, at mga butlig sa palad at talampakan ay agad na magpakonsulta sa pinakamalapit na health center.

Dagdag pa ng ahensya, para sa mga mild na kaso ng HFMD, panatilihin ang anak sa bahay nang pito hanggang sampung araw o depende sa abiso ng doktor. Paalala rin ng Kagawaran, bukod sa pagdi-disinfect ng mga kagamitan, ugaliin din ang dalawampung segundong paghuhugas ng kamay upang maiwasan ang hawahan.

❗️TUBERCULOSIS PREVENTIVE TREATMENT, NAPATUNAYANG EPEKTIBONG PROTEKSYON SA TB❗️

Ang Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment o TPT ay isang gamot na ibinibigay sa taong na-expose sa isang Tuberculosis (TB) patient.

Mabilis ang transmission o pagkalat ng TB dahil maaaring maipasa ito sa pag-ubo, pagbahing at pagdura.

Ang TPT ay napatunayang mabisa at ligtas na paraan para maprotektahan ang mga high-risk individuals at mapigilan ang pagkalat ng TB.

Nagpasalamat ko sa PhilHealth Regional VP Marjorie Cabrieto, LHIO Chief Pedro Leonard Castañeda atol sa ilang courtesy visit diri sa atong opisina, uban sa atong City Health Office head Dr. Agnes Realiza, City Administrator Atty. Almendras, Atty. Ailee Tejano, LLC Hospital’s Dr. Lynart Omnes ug Dr. Francis Quirante, ug si City Councilor Dok Galaroza. Mipadayag ug suporta ang PhilHealth aron mas mapalambo pa ang health services sa Lapu-Lapu City, hilabi na nga kini usa sa mga akong prioridad alang sa mga Oponganon. Importante para nako nga inclusive ang mga serbisyo, labi na sa atong mga pinalangga nga taga-island barangays.

Matag sabado, atong gipadayon ang Konsulta Caravan diin libre ang check-up, lab tests, ug tambal para sa mga Oponganon. Apil na ani ang cancer screening tests for breast, lung, liver, ug colon. Ang atong City Health Office nagpadayon pud sa monthly registration ug profiling aron mas mapadali ang pag-access sa serbisyo. Karon, adunay na kitay 6 ka accredited YAKAP Clinics sa dakbayan, ug andam usab ang LLC Hospital nga mo-accredit para mas daghan ang makabenepisyo sa Konsulta Package. Sa tabang ug suporta sa PhilHealth, padayon nato nga mapaabot ang mas maayo ug mas accessible nga healthcare services sa tanan.
