🚫🪁 No Kites, No Drones, No Habitat Destruction near Fernando Air Base

🛫🦅 To keep our skies safe and protect both our pilots and our community, everyone is reminded that:

✈️ Kite flying, balloons, and lanterns are strictly prohibited within 5 nautical miles of Fernando Air Base, as these can cause serious accidents with aircraft.

🚁 Drone operations are not allowed unless properly authorized. Unauthorized drones can interfere with flight paths and endanger lives.

🌳 Wildlife and their habitats are protected by law (RA 9147). Cutting trees, destroying nests, or activities that attract or displace birds can lead to dangerous bird strikes and legal penalties. Lipa City is part of the CALABARZON Key Biodiversity Areas, including the Taal ecosystem, making it vital to protect the environment while ensuring aviation safety. By following these rules, we help safeguard our community, our airmen, and the rich biodiversity of our city.

The Chief Surgeon, Air Force, Colonel Alan E. Romero MC (GSC), successfully visited the Fernando Air Base Hospital (FABH), under the leadership of Acting Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Precious R. Relles MC, with the full support of the leadership of 550th ABG, AIBDC. The activity was also graced by Colonel Joel A. Arcilla DS (GSC), Commanding Officer of the Dental Service, 1303rd Dental Dispensary.

The Guest of Honor was warmly welcomed by the personnel of FABH, 550th ABG, and 1303rd Dental Dispensary, following the traditional signing of the Guest Book.

The FABH also showcased its accomplishments and facility enhancements. In his talk to troops, the CSAF emphasized the significance of the Comprehensive Mental Health Awareness Program, geared towards strengthening psychological resilience across the PAF. He also addressed questions and concerns from the personnel, assuring them of his commitment to provide support.

A tour of the facility was conducted, including the VALOR Clinic. He likewise inspected the newly delivered physical therapy equipment in the Rehabilitation Medicine Section, and visited the Laboratory Section, which has also received newly delivered medical equipment, including an ultrasound machine. He further assured personnel of his full support in addressing issues and concerns related to the procurement of medical equipment.

In conclusion, this visit not only strengthened camaraderie among FABH personnel and OCSAF leadership but also reinforced the commitment to delivering quality healthcare and support services. With continued guidance from the Chief Surgeon, Air Force, FABH remains steadfast in advancing its mission of sustaining a healthy, resilient, and mission-ready Philippine Air Force.

🏅 Mr. Dante A. Jaen, Civ HR – awarded with The BEE Award (Beyond Exceptional Expectations Award) for his outstanding dedication and exemplary performance that truly embody service beyond expectations.

🏆 Ms. Eufrocina M. Custodio, NA – conferred with a Plaque of Appreciation in honor of her 42 years and 11 months of devoted service (01 July 1982 – 31 May 2025), a testament to her unwavering commitment and invaluable contribution to the institution.
