In support of the Department of Education’s commitment to strengthening school-based health programs and promoting preventive healthcare, the school continues to provide accessible, timely, and comprehensive health screening services to learners and school personnel.

The successful implementation of blood testing of Glucose, Uric and Cholesterol were made possible through the full support and leadership of the Sir Victor Emmanuel D. Maderazo, Principal IV, the School Administration, valued stakeholders, and the utilization of the school canteen fund in accordance with existing policies. Their continued commitment to learners and personnel welfare significantly contributed to the smooth and effective conduct of the activity.

Project H-BEATS focused on the early detection and monitoring of common non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases through the provision of the following services:
•Blood Pressure Monitoring – Screening for hypertension and cardiovascular risk
•Blood Glucose Testing – Assessment for potential diabetes risk.
•Uric Acid Screening – Identification of hyperuricemia and related conditions.
•Cholesterol Testing – Evaluation of lipid levels to prevent cardiovascular complications

The activity was conducted on February 16, 2026 through the collaborative efforts of school health personnel, the active participation of THE LAMP-LNCHS officers and members, who assisted in registration, documentation, health education dissemination and blood testing procedure. Their involvement demonstrated youth leadership and strengthened peer engagement in promoting health awareness within the school community.

Standard health protocols and proper documentation procedures were strictly observed to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and systematic referral when necessary. Participants with elevated or abnormal results were provided with initial health counseling and formally referred to appropriate medical facilities for further evaluation and management, ensuring continuity of care.

Project H-BEATS underscores the school’s proactive approach in addressing the growing prevalence of lifestyle-related and non-communicable diseases. By prioritizing preventive screening, health education, and multi-sectoral collaboration, the program contributes to building a health-conscious, resilient, and well-supported school community.

The conduct of this initiative reflects the institution’s sustained commitment to safeguarding the well-being of its stakeholders and strengthening partnerships in advancing school health programs.

❤️ Project H-BEATS: Promoting healthy hearts and healthy smiles!

In line with Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd (DepEd Order No. 28, s. 2018), Lopez National Comprehensive High School successfully launched Project H-BEATS (Health–Blood Pressure Evaluation and Assessment for Treatment and Support) under the Medical, Dental, and Nursing Services Program.

“I-check ang presyon, protektahan ang puso.” THE LAMP –LNCHS Organization actively supported the implementation of the project by assisting in registration and documentation, facilitating flow during screening, promoting health awareness campaigns to learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sir Victor Emmanuel D. Maderazo, Principal IV, our Health Champion, for strong leadership and support, to all the Department Heads, Senior High School Coordinator and Admin Staffs for their technical assistance, to all the Chief Advisers from Grade 7 to Grade 12, for guidance and supervision in the dissemination of health information to our target beneficiaries, and to our dedicated teachers and learners for their active participation and cooperation. Your collective efforts made this initiative meaningful and successful.

Also, we would like to extends our gratitude to our community partners and stakeholders for their valuable assistance in providing medical resources for the effective implementation of the project.
