is a non-stock non-profit organization recognized and accredited by SEC, BIR, and DSWD, that offers medical support to the less fortunate patients admitted in the Medicine Wards and Intensive Care Units of the Philippine General Hospital. The Foundation offers help to those struggling with disease, assisting thousands of patients yearly with life-saving medicines, crucial diagnostics such as CT scans, and critical procedures such as emergency hemodialysis. Since 1969, the Sorority has shared in the vision and mission of the College of Medicine to produce a community of doctors who possess a heightened social consciousness through a firm commitment to excellence and leadership in community-oriented medical service directed especially to the underserved. In line with this, Sagip Buhay Medical Foundation and Phi Lambda Delta Sorority, proudly bring STRIDE Rx: A Work of HeART 2016 :Doctor’s Fashion Show
For three years now, doctors with compassion and a passion for fashion have joined forces with renowned and up & coming local designers from the Greenbelt 5 Filipino Zone: Aranaz, Arnel Papa, Barba (Vittorio), Bonne Bouche, Cesar Gaupo, Jun Escario, Lulu Tan Gan, MYTH, Religioso, and Solea. This collaboration has produced beautiful works of art such as dresses, bags, shoes, jewelry and the creations were featured as the doctors themselves modeled their chosen items in three fashion showst directed by Mr. Jackie Aquino. Joining us in this venture were Greenbelt, MTV, ETC, QTV, RX 93.1, VSRC, Loreal, Temptu Pro, Paul & Joe, Chateau 1771, Cibo, Congressional Spouses Foundation, Inc., among others. Celebrity guests such as Ogie Alcasid have also graced the event. All proceeds of this show will go to the indigent patients of the Philippine General Hospital - Department of Medicine. This upcoming 2016, doctors and designers will once again team up to save lives through the runway with a bigger, brighter and better show. We are aiming to have least 200 models, with more than 600 guests. This year we are having it in The Globe Circuit Canopy Area on October 22, 2016 (Saturday) at 6 o’clock P.M.
