Are you an empowered woman?
You are reading this article right now.
This might be you or you are starting this journey to be one.
To start with, let’s have a clear understanding of women empowerment.
I got a definition which is perfect for this job.
According to Vesna Pericevic Jacob, Holistic Fitness Expert & Author , one of the influential women and was interviewed by Businessworld, when she was one of the women who were asked to define ‘women empowerment” in the global celebration of International Women’s Day --March 8--.
For her it means, “Empowering women means giving them means to be financially and intellectually independent in their choices on one side, and on the other side, it also means seeding the belief that they are equal to everyone else and that they have the same rights and can choose what and where to be and to do in their lives….”
Such powerful words moved me.
If you are known to be an empowered woman is both an honor and a responsibility.
An honor to be called one has great impact of self-fulfilment.
On the other hand, it also goes for an equal responsibility to the self and to others as well.
I personally adored the words, “… means to be financially and intellectually independent in their choices…”
To be financially independent, is being grateful and contented to what you have, and still be able to dream and work for more financial goals to achieve.
For me, one of the epitomes of an empowered woman is someone who drives a great purpose to be financially free, has her own sense of time to be positively influential to all women, and it should start with herself and her immediate community.
