Helen "Bebing" Allaga-Aradanas releases Executive Order No. 01, Series of 2026, imposing a strict prohibition on the selling of liquor and alcoholic beverages to minors in all business establishments, particularly those located near school vicinities. This decisive action underscores the Barangay’s firm commitment to safeguarding the youth and promoting a safe, disciplined, and responsible community.

Barangay Malandag stands united in protecting the welfare of our young generation. Earlier today at Malandag Plaza, the Malandag Plaza Food Vendors Association officially inducted its newly elected officers for 2026 in a meaningful oath-taking ceremony led and graced by Punong Barangay Hon. Helen "Bebing" A. Aradanas. The event marked a renewed commitment to unity, discipline, and progress among local vendors who play a vital role in keeping the plaza vibrant and economically active.

In her message, Kap Aradanas reminded the vendors of the importance of cooperation, cleanliness, quality service, and compliance with local regulations to ensure the sustainability of their businesses. She emphasized that empowered vendors mean a stronger local economy, highlighting that the growth of every small businesses that contributes directly to the overall economic enterprise of Barangay Malandag. Her leadership continues to focus on inclusive development, where no sector is left behind.

Also present was Kagawad Marilou E. Sarsonas, Chairperson of the Committee on Agriculture and Economic Enterprise, who shared words of encouragement and guidance to the association. She reaffirmed the council’s commitment to programs that uplift livelihoods and strengthen grassroots economic initiatives. The Department of Health (DOH) Region XII conducted a house-to-house monitoring and validation of the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MRSIA) implementation in Barangay Malandag, reinforcing its commitment to ensure that every child is protected. The DOH team first paid a courtesy visit at the Barangay Hall, where they were warmly welcomed by Punong Barangay Hon. Helen “Bebing” Aradanas, Kagawad Roy Reiner Octavio, and Kagawad Noel C. Pido, together with the barangay nurses and BHWs.

Following the courtesy meeting, the team proceeded with an actual community visitation and house-to-house monitoring to conduct a deeper assessment of the MRSIA rollout and to directly engage with residents. During the discussions, DOH officials were updated on the barangay’s strategies, accomplishments, and innovations in implementing the vaccination drive. The team commended the BLGU Malandag for its proactive approach, organized system, and strong community mobilization efforts. This visit highlights that in Malandag, health programs are not only implemented but they are monitored, strengthened, and continuously improved to protect every family and secure a healthier future for all.

The 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐔𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 & 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐠-𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐈𝐃𝐀) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 of the Municipal Local Government Unit of Malungon officially marked its strong kickoff in Barangay Malandag on February 5, 2026, spearheaded by Mayor Bongbong Constantino. The full-day activity was successfully conducted in two schools, with the morning session held at Malandag Institute and the afternoon session at Malandag National High School, reaching hundreds of students and young leaders across the barangay.

The SUBIDA Program is an initiative that aims to educate, inspire, and empower the youth to become aware of the consequences of drug abuse and criminal activities, while encouraging them to take an active role as partners of the government in preventing and combating crime and illegal drugs. Through information-driven discussions and youth-centered engagement, the program seeks to shape a generation that is informed, responsible, and determined to safeguard their future and their community.

Key speakers from various government agencies shared valuable insights during the activity, including MADAC Malungon, headed by Mr. Dolar Yen Son, PESO Malungon represented by Ms. Ana Marie Lausa Awana, and the PNP Malungon, led by PSSG Jaymark Pantalita . Each speaker emphasized the importance of early awareness, discipline, and collective action in building a safe, drug-free, and progressive society.

Showing full support to the initiative, Punong Barangay Hon. Helen A. Aradanas expressed her strong commitment to the program and highlighted in her message the vital role of empowering the youth, recognizing them as the future leaders of the next generation. She also expressed that awareness today leads to responsible leadership tomorrow, and that investing in the youth is the strongest foundation for long-term peace, development, and community resilience.

The successful launch of the SUBIDA Program in Barangay Malandag reflects the united effort of the MLGU, barangay leadership, schools, and partner agencies in shaping a safer and brighter future,one youth at a time.

We would like to inform all residents, particularly chainsaw owners and operators, of the upcoming Chainsaw One-Stop Shop Registration to be conducted by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Malungon, in coordination with CENRO–Glan, Sarangani Province.

This activity is in line with Republic Act No. 9175 (Chainsaw Act of 2002) and Municipal Ordinance No. 2025-267-16, also known as the Malungon Chainsaw Regulation Ordinance of 2025, which aims to regulate the ownership, possession, and authorized use of chainsaws.

📍 Schedule and Venues:

-February 20, 2026 – Barangay Gymnasium, Lower Mainit, Malungon
-February 27, 2026 – Sunken Arena, Municipal Compound, Poblacion, Malungon

Through this One-Stop Shop Registration, chainsaw owners and users may register their equipment, secure the necessary Certificates of Registration from both the Municipality of Malungon and CENRO–Glan, and ensure compliance with environmental laws and policies.

All concerned residents of Barangay Malandag are strongly encouraged to participate and to prepare the required documents for registration. Proper registration helps promote legal ownership, responsible use, and environmental protection.

The Barangay Local Government Unit of Malandag informs the public that recent changes in the layout of barangay clearances, certificates, endorsements, and certificates of indigency are part of the official implementation of Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Memorandum Circular No. 2026-006, also known as the Anti-Epal Policy.

Under the said policy, the names, images, and personal identifiers of public officials are removed from government-issued documents and projects to ensure that public service remains institution-focused rather than personality-driven. This directive reinforces the principle that government programs and services are funded by the people and should not be used for self-promotion.

The BLGU assures residents that the strict enforcement of the Anti-Epal Policy will continue as part of its commitment to honest, fair, and accountable governance, upholding transparency and professionalism in the delivery of public services to the community.
