The Department of Health – Center for Health Development Western Visayas (DOH CHD-WV), in collaboration with the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Aklan, conducted an on-site assessment at Malay Primary Care Facility.

We extend our gratitude to the DOH CHD-WV FHN Cluster and PHO Aklan for their technical assistance and mentoring, and commend the dedication of the Malay PCF team, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) in delivering quality health services to the community.

❗️TUBERCULOSIS PREVENTIVE TREATMENT, NAPATUNAYANG EPEKTIBONG PROTEKSYON SA TB❗️

Ang Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment o TPT ay isang gamot na ibinibigay sa taong na-expose sa isang Tuberculosis (TB) patient.

Mabilis ang transmission o pagkalat ng TB dahil maaaring maipasa ito sa pag-ubo, pagbahing at pagdura.

Ang TPT ay napatunayang mabisa at ligtas na paraan para maprotektahan ang mga high-risk individuals at mapigilan ang pagkalat ng TB.

August 15, 2025, the MHO Malay Health Personnel headed by Dr. Athena C. Magdamit, DOH-deployed Nurses, and our partners from MHO Buruanga joined forces to launch the School-Based Immunization Program at Manocmanoc Elementary School, Balabag Elementary School and Yapak Elementary School.

✅ Measles-Rubella (MR) Vaccine
✅ Tetanus-Diphtheria (TD) Vaccine
👫🏻Grade 4
✅ Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Vaccine

This program protects our learners from vaccine-preventable diseases, helping them stay healthy, active, and ready to learn!
