"Give the gift of life: Donate Blood"

HRH-Malilipot conducted a two day Pep Talk on Blood Donation at Children International Bicol Inc. Community Center 2 in Malilipot Albay. Their objective was for the participants to understand very well the importance of blood donation. The goal is to encourage more blood donors.

To those who are interested and willing to be a blood donor, the Mobile Blood Donation activity is on November 25, 2023, 7:00am to 11:00am at Children International Bicol Inc. located at Sta. Teresa, Malilipot Albay.

Congratulations to the 1st BIGGEST LOSER CHALLENGE OF MALILIPOT WINNER Ms. Maricel Balana of Barangay IV, Malilipot, Albay

The winners, Maricel Balana of Barangay IV, 1st Place; and Carmela Anne Belen of Barangay II and Maricel Bonita of Barangay Santicon, 2nd and 3rd places, received certificates and cash prizes of P10,000; P5,000; and P3,000, respectively. While the other 9 participants who successfully finished the 90 challenging days received certificates and consolation prizes of P1,000 each.

The Rural Health Unit- Malilipot together with the Municipal Nutrition Office was grateful for the participation of the Barangays and also to the Barangay Nutrition Scholars who served as the "Weight Reduction Buddy" of the Contestants. Most especially to our very hardworking Municipal Nutritionist-Dietitian, Ms. Cherry Bea Manlangit-Bayhon who made this contest possible. Also to our MNAO Designate Dr. Alma Bo, for the cash prizes of the winners from the Nutrition Office.

May we all continue to attain normal body weight through proper diet and moderate physical activity to maintain good health and help prevent obesity and other Lifestyle-Related Non-communicable Diseases.

📌49th Nutrition Month Celebration
14 JULY 2023

The Municipality of Malilipot Albay headed by Hon. Mayor Cenon B. Volante thru Rural Health Unit and Nutrition Office held Cooking Contest and On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest Activity to celebrate 2023 Nutrition Month with the theme: "Healthy diet gawing affordable for all!" This activity aims to showcase the talents and skills of the team in cooking "HEALTHY ULAM RECIPE" and affordable meals for the family. While in poster making contest aims to showcase their talents and visualize colorful and simple ways to communicate community about the significance of the theme.
