Today, Ms. Armi Lyn Custodio, Nurse Supervisor of the Department of Geriatric Medicine, shared her valuable knowledge on Elderly Fall Prevention with our elderly participants.

The session was fully supported by their Cluster Head, Dr. June Cañedo, together with the Nursing Specialty Services supervisors and staff, showing strong teamwork in promoting the safety and well-being of our elderly.

In celebration of Goiter Awareness Week, the Department of Geriatric Medicine, through Dr. Annalisa Catacutan, conducted an informative lecture for our elderly participants after their exercise activity.

The session was highly interactive, allowing the elderly ample time to share their insights and experiences, helping reinforce learning and meaningful recall.

After the activity, a short discussion was also held facilitated by Health Education and Promotion Officer where the elderly participants shared their interests and ideas related to upcoming activities.

𝐒𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐬𝐨: 𝐔𝐧𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 💝

Ang Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) ay isang kondisyon kung saan ang mga ugat sa puso ay nagiging makitid o barado dahil sa taba at kolesterol. Kung mapabayaan, maaari itong mauwi sa heart attack o atake sa puso.

Tumataas ang tsansang magkaroon ng CAD ang mga:
🔴Obese o may sobrang timbang
🔴Mga naninigarilyo at umiinom ng alak
🔴May diabetes at altapresyon
🔴May mataas na kolesterol at dugo
🔴Matatanda

Paraan upang maiwasan ang pagkakaroon ng CAD:
✅Kumain ng masustansyang pagkain
✅Mag-ehersisyo ng 30-60 minuto araw-araw
✅Huwag mag bisyo (yosi, v**e, at alak)
✅Regular na inumin ang maintenance na gamot

Tandaan, panatilihing malakas ang puso sa pamamagitan ng malusog na pamumuhay upang maiwasan ang CAD. Dahil sa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Buhay Mahalaga!🫶

Immunization for All: Elder Wellness Day ❤️
​We spent an inspiring day empowering our elders through our "Immunization for All is Humanly Possible" initiative last April 29, 2025.

​Highlights:
• ​Expert Talk: Discussed vaccine safety and debunked common myths.
• ​Immunity Boost: A light exercise session to keep our seniors active and strong.
• ​On-Site Protection: Administered life-saving pneumococcal vaccines to eligible participants.
• ​Wearing the Message: 180 elderly headed home with commemorative Polo-shirts, turning them into ambassadors for vaccination within our community!

We believe that staying healthy is a life

In accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 111, s. 2025, issued by the Office of the President, work in government offices is suspended on the following dates:
• December 29, 2025 (Monday)
• January 2, 2026 (Friday)

In view of this, Outpatient Department (OPD) services will be SUSPENDED on the said dates.

For urgent concerns, patients may proceed to their nearest Emergency Room Hospitals, which will remain open to attend to urgent and life threthening emergency cases.

Regular OPD operations will resume on January 5, 2026. We kindly advise our patients and their families to take care and enjoy a safe and meaningful holiday season. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Abiso sa mga Pasyente

Ipinapaalam po sa ating mga pasyente na ang Out-Patient Department (OPD) ay mananatiling sarado sa Lunes Nobyembre 10, 2025 dahil sa masamang kondisyon ng panahon.

Muling magbabalik sa regular na oras ng serbisyo sa susunod na ideklarang pasok Martes Nobyembre 11, 2025.

Kami po ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamat sa inyong pang-unawa at patuloy na pakikiisa.

👉 Manatiling nakasubaybay dito para sa mga pinakabagong anunsyo.

Dahil sa banta ng matinding ulan at hanging dala ng Bagyong , suspendido ang trabaho sa mga tanggapan ng pamahalaan sa NCR, CAR, at Regions I, II, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, at VIII bukas, Nobyembre 10, 2025.
