𝗨𝗣 𝗦𝗜𝗕𝗢𝗟 participated as an exhibitor in the 𝗧𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀: 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗲𝗺𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 organized by the PGH Department of Orthopedics last 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

The course featured expert lectures on surgical approaches, biologic and endoprosthesis reconstruction, hands-on cadaveric dissection of the distal femur, and a workshop on the cement arthrodesis nail technique. As part of the event, UP SIBOL showcased its in-house anatomical models and training aids, underscoring our commitment to supporting surgical education through accessible, technology-driven learning tools.

Kindred labs in action! 🌱✨

The Advanced Manufacturing in Medicine Team visited UP SIBOL to tour our facilities and exchange ideas. Both laboratories are driven by a shared passion for 3D printing in medicine, from creating patient-specific anatomical models to advancing medical device design and prototyping. The visit highlighted our aligned mission of using technology to improve healthcare and foster people-centered solutions, while opening doors for future collaboration and shared learning 🤝

Batmc Balaraw Health Innovation Hub held a 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 at UP SIBOL yesterday, 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. They toured the facilities and exchanged insights with the team on healthcare innovation and collaboration. During their visit, they also got to see a demonstration of adaptive textile technology.

Engaging exchanges like these inspire new ideas and strengthen partnerships toward better healthcare solutions, aligned with the collaborative spirit fostered by the OVCRE Discovery and Innovation Hub Committee (DIHC). ✨

Adaptive Textile for MedTech Solutions 🌱✨

A master’s student from Jönköping University in Sweden, through coordinators from SmedicoPhils Inc. and the OVCRE Discovery and Innovation Hub Committee (DIHC), visited UP SIBOL to showcase a hands-on demonstration of a temperature-responsive textile.

The material’s ability to adapt based on temperature shows promising potential for applications in patient mobility and rehabilitation, particularly in orthotic devices. This visit demonstrates how adaptive materials can contribute to advancing healthcare innovation.

Joint efforts advancing surgical education! 🦵📚

UP SIBOL participated as an exhibitor in the 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗻𝗲𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 organized by the PGH Department of Orthopedics and the Philippine Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine last 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

The workshop featured diagnostic and advanced knee arthroscopy procedures, which also utilized 3D-printed tendon models developed by UP SIBOL for hands-on learning. During the exhibit, UP SIBOL showcased various 3D-printed anatomical models, including knees, pelvises, and mandible, highlighting our commitment to advancing anatomical simulation and medical education through technology.

UP SIBOL welcomed representatives from Line Seiki last November 5, 2025, to explore potential collaborations that could bridge prototyping and small-scale manufacturing of innovations with medical applications.
