Take a trip back โฎ๏ธand retrace the steps of the interprofessional collaboration executed by the different healthcare programs with the utmost care and best patient outcomes in mind! ๐
Last year was a blast with the Optimization of Patient Safety, and this time weโre transitioning to Streamlining Primary Care and including even more healthcare disciplines to chip in their specialization in providing unsurpassable service. But until that time comes, trot back onto memory lane and relive the revived experience of coalesced minds excelling in different fields towards one goal: Patient Care. ๐ฉบ๐ซ
Taking place last November 23, 2024, the UP College of Pharmacy ๐ housed Mind Meld ๐ง after its six-year hiatus. Brought about by the UPPhA SC through its Academics Service League, Program for Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety (PHQPS), UP Manila Community Health and Development Program (CHDP) & other partners.
And in last yearโs competition, six teams competed, students from different universities ๐ซ and disciplines across Metro Manila, all collaborating in facing head-on the challenge of real-world health issues. But then, only 1 team reigned triumphant, hailed as Champions of Mind Meld 2024 ๐. Through creative and thorough consideration, theyโve presented their collaboration within a developed holistic approach to achieving the best healthcare outcomes ๐. Patient safety was first, and their takes on the clinical and community cases shed light on solutions that not only involve rational decision making but collaborative effort towards tangible results. Communication was their foundation, but their respective expertise is what improved health outcomes for each patient.
