Protecting Cervical Health: Let Fear End with Prevention🌸

Cervical cancer does not typically strike suddenly.
Its true starting point often lies in persistent infection with high-risk types of human papillomavirus (HPV).🦠
While most infections resolve on their own, persistent infection can push you towards precancerous lesions and even cervical cancer.⚠️

To prevent it scientifically, establish three solid lines of defense:

💉Vaccination: Establishing an immune barrier early is the first step in prevention.
🩺Regular Screening: Through HPV testing and ThinPrep Cytologic Test (TCT), hidden dangers can be detected without fail.
🔗Safe Sexual Behavior: Adopting safe sexual practices reduces the risk of cross-infection.

Even if a diagnosis is confirmed, there's no need for excessive panic. Guangzhou Modern Cancer Hospital will develop an individualized treatment plan based on the stage of the disease and your physical condition.🏥👩‍⚕️ Combining precision techniques such as minimally invasive interventions with standardized treatment, the hospital strives to control tumor growth with minimal trauma while maintaining your quality of life.✨

Let's pay attention to cervical health together, turning the unknown into the known and fear into prevention.🤝🌟

【“I Want to Hear Another Opinion” – And That's Perfectly Normal】
—Highlights from the NET25 Interview

Feeling uncertain after receiving a treatment plan and wanting to consult another expert… this thought is not only normal but often necessary.

It's not about trust; it's about taking responsibility for your own life and health. Hearing from another specialist can mean:
• Gaining a more three-dimensional understanding of your condition.
• Learning about another viable treatment path or new technology.
• Building the final decision on a more solid foundation of information—whether opinions align or differ—and gaining precious peace of mind.

As Dr. Wang stated, second, third, or even fourth opinions are all meant to help you confirm or enrich your choices. Granting yourself the right to "ask one more time" is a crucial step forward when facing major health decisions.

【Ancient Temple Bells Ring in the New Year | A Blessing Journey with the World】

The New Year dawns, ushering in renewal. On its first day, amidst the time-honored Cantonese culture, we set out on a heartwarming and hopeful New Year’s journey with cancer patients from diverse nations.

On Beijing Road’s historically rich stone path, international patients strolled towards Dafo Temple. As New Year bells chimed, they prayed with folded hands and closed eyes—different tongues, same wish: for health and peace. In the lively market, red lanterns adorned eaves, New Year goods abounded, and joyful voices filled the air. Patients explored, feeling the New Year’s warmth and choosing auspicious gifts. A Vietnamese patient sighed, “The bustling New Year vibe makes me feel the reunion spirit.”

We believe healthcare goes beyond technology—it’s about touching hearts. On this New Year’s Day, we walked with patients on streets blending old and new, planting hopes and courage for the year ahead. Healing Health is Guangzhou Modern Cancer Hospital’s promise. We’ll guard every overseas treatment journey with expertise and care.

The Fourth Pillar: The Precision of Minimally Invasive Interventional Treatment
—Highlights from the NET25 Interview

Within the comprehensive cancer treatment framework, minimally invasive interventional therapy stands firm as an indispensable “Fourth Pillar.” It represents a new treatment philosophy: achieving precise strikes with minimal trauma.

Unlike traditional perceptions, modern “interventional therapy” specifically refers to the use of precision instruments like specialized micro-catheters and probes, guided by imaging, to directly access the tumor area for localized ablation, embolization, or drug delivery. Its core value lies in:
• Precision Targeting: Maximizing effect on the lesion while protecting surrounding healthy tissue.
• Minimal Trauma: Often requiring only a needle puncture, significantly reducing physical burden and recovery time.
• Broad Applicability: Provides a crucial option for many patients who are unsuitable for or cannot undergo surgery.

As a platform technology, it works in synergy with surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, collectively building a more comprehensive and personalized modern oncology treatment network.

A Closer Look: The Four Core Modalities in the Fight Against Cancer
—Highlights from the NET25 Interview

Surgery, Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy, and Interventional Therapy—how do these four pillars work, and what role does each play? Dr. Wang, offered a clear explanation in his interview:

• Surgery: The most direct and effective approach, especially in early stages. It aims to remove the tumor. For advanced patients, palliative surgery can also effectively reduce tumor burden.

• Radiotherapy: Uses high-precision energy beams to target and destroy cancer cells. The key to modern technology lies in precision, utilizing various advanced methods to maximize protection of healthy tissues and balance efficacy with safety.

• Chemotherapy: Works systemically through drugs. It is a “double-edged sword,” targeting cancer cells while potentially causing side effects. Modern treatment employs a multimodal approach to reduce reliance on chemotherapy alone or to leverage its specific advantages.

• Interventional Therapy: Represents modern minimally invasive techniques. Using micro-catheters, probes, and other tiny tools to act directly on the tumor area, it offers minimal trauma and faster recovery, standing as a crucial fourth pillar.

Dr. Wang emphasizes that these methods do not work in isolation. The core of modern cancer treatment lies in integration: scientifically combining these four approaches based on the individual condition to leverage their strengths and mitigate weaknesses, crafting the optimal strategy for each patient.

Life is warmed by companionship, and the fight against cancer is strengthened by love.❤️‍🩹✨

“My anti-cancer story is actually a story about the two of us,” said Nguyen Van The, an anti-cancer warrior from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in a soft voice.🇻🇳

Before his anti-cancer journey, his body constantly reminded him of life’s fragility: chest tightness, intermittent coughing, declining energy, and easy fatigue with even slight movement. Psychologically, anxiety and fear loomed over him like a shadow, as he worried that his worsening condition would burden his family. In life, he had to reduce social interactions and slow down his work pace, with his daily routine almost entirely filled with treatment.😮‍💨📉

During treatment breaks, his wife never left his side. As soon as he returned to the ward, she would hold his hand and whisper, “I’m here.”

He took a deep breath, feeling his tension gradually fade. 🌬️😌 She tidied up by his bedside, gently wiped his face with a warm towel, and organized his clothes. 🧼👕 These small gestures filled the ward with a sense of home and reassurance. 🏠💖

After being discharged from the hospital, Nguyen Van The and his wife gradually turned their days into a time of tacit understanding between the two of them. Every morning, they jogged side by side in the sunlight; in the evening, they strolled along familiar streets, savoring each other's presence. As sweat soaked their clothes and their steps slowed, he would instinctively tighten his grip on her hand. Every action was a response to companionship and a cherishing of life.

The days of fighting cancer are not just about facing illness but also about extending love little by little in ordinary daily life.

Even though they were not in the same country, he could still feel the hospital's thoughtful care. 🌏🏥The Ho Chi Minh City International Service Center in Vietnam would regularly check in on him, remind him of follow-up appointments, and occasionally send small holiday gifts.🎁📞 These thoughtful gestures made him feel much more at ease. “It’s these kinds of support that give me the confidence to face each day,” Nguyen Van The said softly. ♾️❤️🌷

Nguyen Van The’s story tells us that fighting cancer is not just about treatment but also about the continuation of love and companionship.

A Doctor's Global Classroom: Staying Updated, Because Life Cannot Wait
—Highlights from the NET25 Interview

“New technologies are coming almost every day.” — This is a profound insight from Dr. Wang.

His educational map connects Boston and Sydney. Training at Harvard Medical School and Prince of Wales Hospital gave him a deep appreciation that a radiation oncologist’s tools are not just machines, but a constantly evolving global body of knowledge.

He brought this “world-class” perspective back to China and infused it with new meaning:
🔬 A “East-West” Fusion of Technology: Introducing mainstream advanced technologies while integrating innovative inventions from China.
📚 The “Rapid Refresh” of Knowledge: He notes that clinical guidelines update extremely fast — sometimes “knowledge from last year is already obsolete this year.” Therefore, continuous learning is not a choice, but a responsibility.
💡 “Precision” in Treatment Planning: Combining the latest machines with the latest knowledge to enable more accurate prediction, calculation, and planning for patients.

His story is also a reflection of Guangzhou Modern Cancer Hospital’s progress in cancer treatment: always remaining open, always looking to the future, and using global wisdom to serve every patient.
