On Fake DOH page Endorsing False Health Claims and Products
The Department of Health (DOH) warns the public against misleading claims circulating online regarding an alleged "nutritional milk" that supposedly cures chronic insomnia.
The post, which falsely associates the DOH with an unverified health product, is not endorsed, approved, or recognized by the Department.
The Department emphasizes that insomnia has various causes and no instant cure. While healthy habits support better sleep, effective treatment requires proven methods like sleep hygiene, therapy, and medical guidance.
The DOH reminds the public to be cautious of deceptive marketing strategies that use fabricated testimonials, fake expert endorsements, and exaggerated health claims. The Department has already flagged the page to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for removal. The public is urged to follow only the official DOH social media accounts.
