But it's very fulfilling. True happiness comes from unconditional giving.

ā€œIf the business is sickness,
healing will never be the priority.ā€

Not everything prescribed leads to healing.
Sometimes, healing begins when we question the system and take responsibility for what we put on our plate.

— This is why food, lifestyle, and metabolic health matter.

Wow! 😭

Si Peter Rost ay syang sumulat ng bestseller na libro na, "The Whistleblower: Confessions of a Healthcare Hitman"

Dati syang top executive ng Pfizer.

Note: Translated into Taglish ang original quote nya

āž”ļøBut when you reclaim your metabolic health thru the proper diet and lifestyle - yan ang totoong magpapagaling ng tuluyan sa sakit mo.

Cravings are not weakness

Alam mo ba?

There are seasons when I go quiet. Not because I stopped believing— but because life got loud. Still, the path waits. No guilt. No judgment.🄰

Healing should not feel like another burden.
Sometimes, food is the gentlest medicine.

🌿 The Low-Carb Path

Medicine doesn’t end the story...
Sometimes it starts a second illness

ā€œThe person who takes medicine needs to recover twice.
Once from the disease and once from the medicine.ā€

That line came from Sir William Osler, one of the founders of modern medicine, and one of the "Big Four" founding professors of Johns Hopkins Hospital.

And it should stop us cold.

Because somewhere along the way, we accepted a strange bargain.

We treat symptoms aggressively.
We manage numbers.
We suppress signals the body is sending.

And then we quietly accept the side effects as the price of doing business.

Fatigue.
Weight gain.
Blood sugar instability.
Digestive damage.
Nutrient depletion.
New diagnoses that require new prescriptions.

That second recovery Osler warned about has become invisible.
Not because it disappeared.
Because we normalized it.

This is not an argument against medicine.
It is an argument against pretending medicine is neutral.

Food choices matter.
Blood sugar matters.
Inflammation matters.
Root causes matter.

When those are ignored, medicine often becomes a long-term substitute for a conversation we never had.

The body keeps the receipts.
It always has.

And healing works best when it does not create a second problem to solve.

Mismong nasa website nila yan - see https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/healthy-diet?

"replacing both saturated fats and trans-fats with unsaturated fats – in particular, with polyunsaturated fats." (aka SEED OILS)

Kaloka😭

I’ve been seeing this headline circulating:

šŸ‘‰ ā€œKeto Diet linked to Liver Cancerā€

Understandably, it sounds alarming—especially if you’ve never practiced low-carb or studied how it actually works.

So I took time to read the study itself, not just the headline.

What was labeled as ā€œketoā€ in this research was a high-fat but also highly inflammatory diet, fed to mice:

fats coming mainly from soybean oil

carbohydrates from maltodextrin and sugar

This is not how real low-carb or therapeutic keto is practiced.

This is why, on The Low-Carb Path, we always say:
šŸ‘‰ Education comes before discipline.

If you don’t study the details—ingredients, context, and study design—it’s very easy to be misled by headlines that oversimplify complex science.

Low-carb is not about blindly eating fat.
It’s about reducing metabolic stress, lowering inflammation, and supporting the body’s natural healing processes—when done properly.

Let this be a reminder:
Not all ā€œstudiesā€ are equal.
Not all ā€œketoā€ is the same.
And not all headlines tell the whole truth.

Choose clarity over fear.
Choose understanding over noise.

Grabe. Nakakatakot ano?

šŸ”¹Ang fat compositon ay: Soybean oil at lard (taba ng baboy) - this is the first red flag🚩.

Ang soybean oil ay OUT sa tamang keto dahil it is a highly inflammatory oil (50% Linoleic Acid). Lard has a low/moderate (10%) content of Linoleic Acid

Jusko. It has the highest glycemic index in the world at up to 130.

šŸ‘‰So this is a TOXIC and HIGHLY INFLAMMATORY DIET.

One of the biggest myths about low-carb is that it’s all about restriction.

In truth, it’s about replacement—
replacing sugar spikes with stability,
replacing constant hunger with satiety,
replacing confusion with clarity.

When the body understands what it’s being fed,
healing becomes possible.
This is why education always comes before discipline on The Low-Carb Path.

Low-carb is not a trend.
It’s a tool—one that helps the body regulate, heal, and function better.

Trends come and go.
Tools stay useful when applied with understanding.

Here on The Low-Carb Path, we don’t follow hype. We focus on what supports blood sugar balance, reduces inflammation, and builds sustainable health.

Not extreme.
Not rushed.
Just informed choices—done consistently.

I paused. I reflected. And now, I return—with purpose.

This New Year opens a new chapter, not because everything is perfect, but because healing is still possible. The Low-Carb Path continues—rooted in real stories, informed choices, and sustainable health.Let’s write this page well.

This is a metabolic response, not willpower.

A former classmate messaged me.
Her blood sugar was around 300 mg/dL.
After one month of low-carb, this was her realization:
ā€œMagaan pala talaga sa pakiramdam.ā€

Here’s the science behind that ā€œgaan.ā€

When blood sugar stays chronically high, the body is forced to produce excessive insulin just to protect cells. Over time, this leads to insulin resistance, inflammation, fatigue, and constant metabolic stress.

Reducing carbohydrate intake lowers the glucose load.
Lower glucose → less insulin demand.
Less insulin demand → metabolic relief.

This is why many people feel better early sometimes even before dramatic lab improvements.

Energy improves because cells are no longer swimming in excess glucose.

Inflammation quiets down.

The nervous system shifts out of survival mode.

Low-carb is not about deprivation.
It is about reducing the primary trigger of hyperglycemia so the body can regain balance.

One month may sound short.
But metabolically, it is already a signal to the body:

ā€œYou no longer have to fight this hard.ā€

Here’s the key: any advice, education, or doctor’s recommendation only works if you are ready to act on it.
No matter how sound the guidance, real change begins with your own choice. Without readiness and commitment, nothing will stick.

I’ve been quiet here for a while, but messages like this remind me why education matters.
Because when people understand why food choices affect their blood sugar—and choose to act—it becomes sustainable, not forced.

This is The Low-Carb Path.
Rooted in physiology.
Guided by evidence.
Grounded in the body’s natural ability to heal when we stop overwhelming it.
