Doc Rosebelma, our Clinical Psychologist, and Cristina Soledad, our Center Director, have officially completed their QBA supervision through Start-up Global Academy under the guidance of their QBA/BCBA supervisor, Ms. Gina Bermudo. As one of the most respected behavior analysts in the Philippines, Ms. Bermudo has now officially granted them full supervision after a year of rigorous coursework and training.⁣

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝑸𝑩𝑨?
A QBA (Qualified Behavior Analyst) is an advanced credential in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) awarded by the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA). To qualify, professionals must have a master’s degree, complete 270 hours of coursework, obtain 1,500 hours of supervised fieldwork, and pass a comprehensive written exam. This certification reflects advanced competence in ABA allowing professionals to design programs, analyze data, and supervise staff.⁣

This milestone is an important step as they prepare for the QBA board exam. At Better Me, we believe that passing the ABAT exam is only the beginning, our goal is to pursue the 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 to deliver world-class, evidence-based services to our clients and families.⁣

“The Z Benefit Package for autism was launched way back in 2018, yet until now, there’s still no clear process or proper guidance on how centers can become care affiliates. They created this law to supposedly help children and families, but how can we help families of children with autism and developmental disabilities if the agencies themselves are making it so difficult for centers to participate?

Sometimes it feels like the system is saying: “We support inclusion, but please, take a number and wait... forever.”
