Dizziness vs. Vertigo: What’s the Difference?

Many confuse dizziness and vertigo, but they’re not the same:

🔸 Dizziness: Feeling lightheaded, faint, or unsteady
🔸 Vertigo: A false sense that you or your surroundings are spinning

⚠️ Both can have different causes—from inner ear problems to low blood pressure or anxiety.

What is Vertigo and How is it Treated?

Vertigo is a sensation of spinning or moving, even when you're still. It’s often caused by inner ear issues like BPPV, vestibular neuritis, or Meniere’s disease.

Treatment May Include:
✅ Balance exercises (vestibular rehab)
✅ Medications
✅ Epley maneuver (for BPPV)
✅ Treating the underlying cause
