[MENTAL HEALTH "DECEMBER 2025" UPDATES]🎄✨
PANGANTUCAN, Bukidnon — On December 2, 2025, the Municipality of Pangantucan conducted the Mental Health Capacity Training aimed at strengthening the knowledge, skills, and competencies of health and education stakeholders involved in mental health service delivery.
The activity was led by the National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) Team headed by Dr. Rodney R. Boncajes, with Dr. Julius Paul V. Juen and Dr. Tiffany Kim A. Dela Cruz as resource speakers. Training sessions covered mental health awareness, early identification and management of mental health concerns, referral pathways, and the integration of mental health services within primary and community-based care settings.
Sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical, the training was attended by doctors, RHU nurses and midwives, DepEd nurses, Barangay Health Workers, school guidance designates, mental health advocates, municipal mental health staff of Pangantucan, as well as the Provincial Health Office (PHO) personnel Dr. Raima Sucor, Non-Communicable Disease Coordinator, together with Nurse Norhanah H. M. Manding.
The successful implementation of the activity was made possible through the strong support of Municipal Health Officer Dr. Roston G. Garces and the Local Government Unit of Pangantucan, under the leadership of Hon. Manolito G. Garces, Municipal Mayor, and Hon. Edward E. Hernandez, Municipal Vice Mayor, demonstrating the LGU’s continued commitment to strengthening mental health services at the community level.
