The Youth Safety Dialogue (YSD) โ€œTara, Usap Tayoโ€ of Safe Schools Philippines (SSP) has officially taken off in Quezon City Schools, providing students with a safe and structured platform to openly share their experiences, concerns, and insights regarding their safety and well-being in school.

The YSD started last February 25, 2026 and is now going on which will run in 10 public high schools in Quezon City. This is in collaboration with the school through its School Parent Teacher Association (SPTA) and Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG).

The initiative promotes a student-centered approach, recognizing learners as important voices in strengthening safer and more responsive school environments. Through guided and confidential discussions, students are encouraged to express their perspectives on issues affecting their safety in school.

Insights gathered from the dialogue will serve as evidence-based inputs for policy improvement, concrete programs, and stronger safety measures in Quezon City Schools.

According to Dr. Arlene Escalante-Eluwa, SSP Chairperson, through this initiative, SSP continues to empower young people to speak up, be heard, and help build safer schools for everyone.
