The workshop will also include a short demo highlighting affordable and practical ways to prepare healthy meals!

Beyond the kitchen, this workshop also invites participants to reflect on the realities surrounding food in the Philippines, particularly the issues of food security and food justice that shape who has access to nutritious meals. Every day, we make decisions about the food we consume, yet the most affordable options are often far from the healthiest, disadvantaging those who already cannot afford to ease their hunger. Through this experience, we are encouraged to reflect on these challenges and develop empathy for those who face them each day. Together, we learn how our community can take part in Walking with the Excluded.
