Earlier doesnโt always mean better.โฃโฃ
โฃโฃ
Her kid walked at one year, yours walked at eighteen months, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ it doesnโt matter.โฃโฃ
Her kid potty-trained at two years old, yours didn't potty-train until four years old, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ it doesnโt matter.โฃโฃ
Her kid recognized all his letters and numbers before pre-school, yours had no interest until almost four, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ it doesnโt matter.โฃโฃ
Her kid was sleeping through the night by three months, yours wasnโt sleeping through the night until two years old, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ it doesnโt matter.โฃโฃ
โฃโฃ
Because reaching developmental milestones early means ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ in the long run.โฃโฃ
โฃโฃ
Because a college professor wonโt wonder how old her students were when they could count to one hundred or spell their names.โฃโฃ
And no one will know or care if the Harvard graduate or the CEO had a pacifier or didn't potty-train until five years old.โฃโฃ
โฃโฃ
What matters most is the whole child,โฃโฃ
who ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐บ are,โฃโฃ
and how kind ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐บ areโฃโฃ
โฃโฃ
So let the pressure go,โฃโฃ
and let your kids be kids.โฃโฃ
โฃโฃ
Donโt rush them through their childhoods,โฃโฃ
and make them miss outโฃโฃ
because theyโre too busy meeting milestone after milestone.โฃโฃ
โฃโฃ
Besides, earlier doesnโt always mean better.
