🛑 Rabies Alert: Fatality Due to Rabies 🛑

Rabies is a deadly virus that affects the central nervous system, leading to brain disease and death if left untreated. Unfortunately, it remains a significant health threat worldwide, causing thousands of fatalities every year. Rabies is always fatal once symptoms appear.

🐾 Prevention Tips:

•Seek Immediate Medical Attention: If bitten or scratched by an animal, wash the wound thoroughly and seek medical help immediately. Rabies post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is crucial and effective if administered promptly.
•Avoid Unfamiliar Animals: Do not approach or handle unfamiliar animals. If you see an animal acting strangely, contact animal control.
•Vaccinate Pets: Ensure your dogs and cats are up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations.

🔬 Know the Symptoms:

•Initial symptoms: fever, headache, and general weakness or discomfort.
•Advance symptoms: anxiety, confusion, agitation, abnormal behavior, hallucinations, hydrophobia (fear of water), and insomnia.
