Born with an imperforate a**s (no a**s), she endured pain no child should ever face, yet she fought quietly, day after day, as Highlanders performed twice-daily fecaloma irrigation for an entire month to help reconnect her intestine to her newly created a**s. Beside her, her mother stands in silent hope, holding on to the belief that kindness still exists in this world. This moment captures more than a medical procedure—it captures the purest form of service, the kind that saves not just lives, but futures. For the Rotary Club of San Mateo Highlands, this is our promise: to show up where hope is fading and to fight for every life that deserves a chance to begin again.
