Indeed a Breastmilk Warrior!

Ma'am Jhomie G. Vizon, from Brgy.Rizal, Saguday donated again a 10 poutches of breastmilk to our Municipal Breastmilk Bank.

We thank you ma'am for your full support in advocating breastfeeding to our constituents by donating your liquid gold.

We encourage our Mothers to exclusively breastfed your babies up to 6 months and continuous breastfeeding with complementary feeding up to 2 years and beyond. Let us continue to Support, Promote and Protect Breastfeeding through proper health education.

Isang makasaysayang araw ang naganap kanina dito sa Bayan ng Saguday dahil sa paglulunsad ng taunang Gatas Mo, Buhay Ko Breastmilk Donation Drive na dinaluhan ng ating mga MNC Members na pinangungunahan ng ating MNC Chairperson, Honorable Mayor Mercy Pagbilao at Municipal Nutrition Action Officer, Sir Joey Gamboa, Provincial Nutrition Program Coordinator, Ms. Luningning P. Rhodes, mga kasamahan sa MHO na pinangungunahan ng Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Vivian Elizarde at DTTB, Dr. Angeline Villar, mga Nurses at Midwives, Municipal Population Office, Provincial SK Federation President, Sir Juanviktor Gamboa, mga Local Youth Development Council members, mga Barangay Nutrition Scholars at ng mga bida sa araw na ito, ang mga magigiting nating Breastmilk Warriors.

Sa paglunsad ng programang ito, nais iparating ng Provincial at Municipal Nutrition Committee ang kahalagahan ng Exclusively Breastfeeding sa unang anim na buwan ng sanggol na makakatulong sa kanyang unang isang libong araw o yung tinatawag na First 1000 days of life. Buong pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga tumulong, nag-organisa at sumuporta sa programang ito upang patuloy na masuplayan ang mga sanggol na nangangailangan ng gatas ng ina. Nais namang ipaalam sa lahat na ang mga donors ay dumaan sa proper health assessment upang masigurong ligtas ang gatas na makokolekta. Ang mga nagamit din sa pagpapalabas ng gatas ay nilinis ng mabuti at ibinababad sa mainit na tubig bago at pagkatapos gamitin.

Hinihikayat namin lahat ng mga nanay, na suportahan at protektahan ang tamang nutrisyon ng mga bagong silang na sanggol hanggang sa kanyang dalawang taon dahil ito ang pinakamahalagang araw ng bata upang siya ay lumaking malakas at may maayos na nutrisyon sa katawan.

Ang gatas ng ina ay ang pinakaligtas at pinakamasustansyang pagkain para sa mga bagong silang na sanggol kaya’t ito ang dapat nilang matanggap pagkapanganak. Ito ay may kumpletong nutrisyon at makakatulong upang mabawasan ang mga gastusin ng isang pamilya dahil ito ay libre.

Mga kailyan naming Breastfeeding Sagudayenios, amin namin kayong iniimbitahan sa taunang Breastmilk Donation Drive na gaganapin sa April 22, 2022, alas otso y media ng umaga sa Lakas Bayan Gymnasium, Breastfeeding Room. Ang mga makokolektang breastmilk ay ibibigay sa mga sanggol ng Saguday at karatig Bayan at Probinsya na nangangailangan ng gatas ng ina. Ang mga donors ay sinisigurong dadaan sa tamang proseso tulad ng libreng konsulta sa doktor. Ang mga gatas na makokolekta ay sisiguraduhing dadaan sa maayos at malinis na pagkakaimbak. Kaya’t Tara na! Ating suportahan at protektahan ang mga sanggol laban sa malnutrisyon sa pamamagitan ng patuloy na pagpapasuso.

It’s a wonderful day to everyone for we have provided 3 pouches of breastmilk from Zamora, Cabarroguis, Quirino and 5 pouches of breastmilk from Magsaysay, Saguday, Quirino. The both babies are currently at Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Thanks to our great donors for we are saving babies daily lives through this liquid gold. We encourage breastfeeding mothers to please donate breastmilk because there is insufficient stock for breastmilk to our Municipal Breastmilk bank. Please coordinate to our Nutrition Coordinators or to this page. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Once again, our breastmilk warrior, ma'am Mary Joy Galsim Donated a bags of breastmilk to our Breast Milk Bank. She was accompanied by our Municipal Nutritionist Dietitian and a family member. We commend you Ma'am Galsim, a Registered Nurse and a frontliner who always choose to share her liquid gold to our in need babies. God bless you more. ❣️❤

Our breastmilk recipient from Aglipay received 12 bags of breastmilk. Our breastmilk coordinators was informed that the mother can't breastfed her baby because she was isolated for the mean time. To secure that the baby were exclusively breastfed for 6 months, we need to supply them breast milk. We are very glad that Quirino Province are well mobilize in breastmilk donations and our partner agencies are very supportive in implementing RA 10028 or the breastfeeding promotion act of 2009 and EO 51 or the Milk Code of the Philippines. All together, we end this silent pandemic through strongly supporting health and nutrition interventions.
