𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | The Lorma Cancer Institute, Inc. (LCII) was officially inaugurated on February 18, 2026, marking a significant milestone in advancing cancer care in Northern Luzon.
The celebration brought together the leadership of Lorma Medical Center, the Mount Grace Hospitals, Inc. network, local government officials, leading oncologists and radiologists, physicians, investors, and valued community partners.
The program formally opened with welcome remarks from the President and Medical Director of LCII, Dr. Mario T. Bautista, who highlighted the institute’s commitment to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and accessible cancer care closer to home.
This was followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Mr. Robert F. Kaiser, Jr., Dr. Florence M. Tadiar, and Mr. Jose Santiago A. Dela Cruz, symbolizing the collaborative effort behind the institute’s establishment.
Healthcare leaders and public health officials namely: Dr. Michael C. Bangloy, City Health Officer III of the City of San Fernando, La Union, and Dr. Pretchell P. Tolentino, Assistant Regional Director III of the Department of Health–Ilocos Center for Health Development, expressed strong support for LCII’s role in expanding specialized cancer services in the Ilocos Region.
The program concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Gladys T. Camarillo, Manager of LCII, who thanked partners and stakeholders for their unwavering support.
The Lorma Cancer Institute, Inc. will soon start to accept patients.
