The New Chapter in Our Baby’s Story 💛

The day we received the confirmatory test results for our little one, it came back positive for G6PD deficiency.

It’s hard to explain the rush of emotions that followed: concern, confusion, a touch of fear… but most of all, love. So much love.

G6PD deficiency isn’t something we knew much about before. But we’re learning quickly — learning how to keep our baby safe, what foods and medications to avoid, and how to adapt so they can grow up happy and healthy.

It’s not always easy to face the unknown. But we are choosing to move forward with knowledge, with hope, and with gratitude that we know what we’re dealing with.

If you’ve never heard of G6PD deficiency, you’re not alone. It’s a genetic condition that affects how the body protects red blood cells from damage. With the right care, children with G6PD can live full, healthy lives.

We’re sharing this not for sympathy, but to raise awareness — and to remind other parents: you're stronger than you think, and your baby is too. 💪🍼
